I have had several hot flashes especially in the late afternoon and

evening and I have been on Metho for over 5 months---I am past

menopause by several years since I had ovarian cancer in my 30s and

had a told hysto. (I am 60.) Both my doctor and the rheumy could not

explain the hot flashes-- they just kinda of laughed about it-- but I

don't think it is funny. I really did not have any hot flashes or at

least nothing like this anyway.

I am sorry to hear that your doctors responded that way. Your docs never should

have never laughed about any complaint that you had. That's just obsurd to me.

It's so hard to believe there are docs that would laugh in a patients presense,

like in your case. My rheumy took my complaint very seriously, unfortuantely,

after her testing was done nothing ever panned out for me. I know in a few

years they will be blaming it on that time of change but now is not that time.

who knows. Good luck!

Hi ,

Well I'm 100% male, and pretty sure I'm not suffering menopause so

perhaps my experience is of interest. The day I take my 15Mg dose of

Methotrexate and the following day I feel flush all day, as if I'm

running a serious fever. I feel like I'm coming down with something,

and don't feel as sharp or energetic as I normally do. By the end of

hte second day, I'm back to normal. I am a 250lb male and only taking

15Mg once a week. I can imagine what a larger dose would do to a

smaller person. Hope you are doing well controlling your PA.
