Guest guest
Hi, everyone, A few years ago I went to a dermatologist and asked why my nails, which have always been strong and fast growing, started looking weird. He said this is what happens to old people in nursing homes! I would have been okay with that if I wasn't in my mid-forties at the time and not exactly ready for the nursing home. After researching and comparing symptoms and photographs, I self diagnosed and have decided I must have psoriasis of the nails. I've had mild psoriasis on my fingers for probably 20 years or so that I am controlling well with over the counter Psoriaflora cream. My thumb nails split and crack easily and the thumb joints have swollen quite a bit the past few years. I have minor problems with the other finger nails, but the thumbs and the big toe nails are the ones I have the most problems with. I'd like to learn what you use to control the nail psoriasis. I'd like to stay with over the counter treatments and of reasonable cost if possible. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards, Janet
