Dear Vickey,

All of that sounds very scary. I too know that my medication sticks more

than it used to. Knowledge makes you stronger, so I will definitely pray for

you and all the tests and diagnosis.

Gentle Hugs & Prayers,

Carol M. in CA

Vickey,

I'm a lurker but you have my countless prayers! I can only imagine how

frightening this must be for you. I hope you are able to have the surgery done.

It might help with so many issues.

I'm saying a prayer right now

Vickey,

I will hold warm and caring thoughts for you in my mind. I have put a

permanent ink dot on my left thumbnail that I will refresh until after

your procedures are complete. Best wishes and keep your chin up, a

smile on your face: those actions are proven to help one feel stronger

and happier.

Hi Vicky,

I had the nissan fundoplacation for hiatis hernia back in February 2005.

I still have problems swollowing and have acid reflux burning my

throat, vocal cords and lungs. I was not able to speak for several

months this year (much to my husbands pleasure). The point I am trying

to make is it is more important to have the treatment for the barratts

as their is no guarantee that the other will work anyway. I have had

two intubations in the past twelve months so that I can swollow without

food etc feeling like it is stuck.

In my case they seem to be diagnosing everything in reverse as I have

only recently been diagnosed with severe psoriatic spondylitis

arthritis. I have been treated for osteo for the past 10 years. What a

waste of all the glucosamine tablets in that time. I had no idea that

having trouble swollowing could be part of this condition. I now

understand why the surgeon wrote it on my referal to the consulting

physician I have to see next week.

Like you I too hope that they can put it all together and work out a

direction for out future treatment.

Hi Vickey,

I am certainly praying for you and the situation. I'm also a lurker, but I

wanted to at least let you know you had someone else out there praying for you.

It's good to know of this condition, something I'll certainly watch out for.

Hugs,

Carla
