Guest guest
no!!! you cannot use enbrel that has been in the freezer. call the pharmacist . sometimes the pharmacist can turn it in for reimbursment from insurance company and give you new stuff. do not use it . Guest guest
DO NOT USE IT! Call Immunex or their Enliven Services and/or your insurance provider. One or the other will probably replace it free of charge but you have to contact them right away. The sooner you do the better your chance is. Within 24 hours of the incident is best. I had a shipment replaced when I was in the shower and the delivery guy took off with it since I was not at the door to sign for it. By the time I located it at their warehouse it was spoiled. It usually isn't a big deal, especially the first time, but you need to inform the provider immediately. [ ] what to do if enbrel freezes?? does anyone know for sure if i can use enbrel that has spent about 14 hours in the freezer? My enbrel comes by overnight UPS. Since i was going out of town this week, i asked my father to pick up the package. But he inadvertantly put it into the freezer instead of the refrigerator. It was there about 14 hours before i discovered the mistake. im very new to enbrel. might anyone have any advice? is it still ok to use? if not, will insurance pay for a repeat dose? i barely have enough $$ to cover the co-pay let alone a complete payment... thxs cfsguy Please visit our Psoriatic Arthritis Group's informational web page at: http://www.wpunj.edu/pa/ -- created and edited by list member aka(raharris@...).
