Guest guest Posted January 10, 2007 Report Share Posted January 10, 2007 Hello everyone I don't know who's idea it was to take Benadryl with the MTX but I know I read it here I want to say thank you it made a very big difference with the nausea and I want to encourage anyone to try who is having a problem with this it really works I was ready to tell the DR what they could do with the MTX LOL I could not function the day after I took it now the side effects are tolerable thanks again for everyone on this board for all of the advice and support it is like a lifeline stay well everyone and have a great week LINDA\ [Editor's Note: Taking Benadryl to prevent nausea has been around as long as Benadryl has. It works with most medications - not just MTX - so be sure to keep it on hand for a variety of situations. About 25 years ago, Benadryl save my dog's life after she had been stung by a bee and the dog turned out to be deathly allergic to bee venom. I put some liquid Benadryl into a syringe and squirted it in her mouth while she was passed out and within minutes I had my dog back.
