Guest guest
Hi everyone, Yet again with questions!. Ive been to see my doc today and he has advised my back has an xray. my tail bone area is causing alot of pain, Now ive put up with this for some time now due to having a suspected slip disk when i was 16. back probs in the family etc, However he has mentioned about PA being one of the very few that attacks this area of the back. I am concerned as the pain has been very diff from any past aches and pain in my back and i am shifting around it , moving diffirently etc. He has tried to reasure me its more than likely its strain etc and because i have reacted so well to meds for my hands. But he did say if i was showing pa signs in my lower back this would need a diffirent treatment . what could this be? . Just finding myself thinking how many times have i mentioned this before to him. why do that not do a regular xrays . Im a little cross to think some damage may have already accured and didnt realise that pa causes fusion . Any advise would be a help I too have suffered pain via hip to knee and ankle almost like syactica { not sure on that spelling } . Ill have a whizz round the site for more information on what joint areas etc. in the mean time wishing every one a lovely xmas if i do not manage to pop back before . hoping everyone has a restful time . with love
Guest guest
, I don't think anyone replied to this post. I have the same thing, although I have been diagnosed with a Herniated Disc. A back surgeon in Toronto said that it is not the disc causing my back pain, but arthritis. This is what got the ball rolling for me to find a good Rheumy to help me out. She has diagnosed me with PA, alot because of my back problems. A couple weeks ago I sat down and thought I sat on a chair of glass. I jumped up so fast it wasn't funny. Of course, nothing there, but it has been downhill since. My back is as bad as it ever has. I am scheduled to start MTX in a couple weeks and hope this will help. My Rheumy sent my Dr. a 5 page letter about me and my diagnosis. She said I had 12 out of 18 Fibro spots, which surprised her. Too many things going on with my body at once. I can't believe it is failing me at such a young age (45). Ontario [ ] low tail bone { back pain} Hi everyone, Yet again with questions!. Guest guest
Hi and , I have had pain there for sooo long but I thought it was because I have had surgery on my tail bone twice for a pilonidal cyst..you know how most people can lean back in a chair or floor leaning mostly on their tailbone.. well it has been almost 30 years since I could do that..I am now 42 because that pain started around 12 years old..I have disc problems but my pain is lower than that and in my hips..I too get siatica pain..I sure hope you find the answers you need and a treatment plan that works for you.. Prayers for you, Vickey <fortheluvofgoldens@...> wrote: , I don't think anyone replied to this post. I have the same thing, although I have been diagnosed with a Herniated Disc. Guest guest
Hi everyone, , I'm like you, age 45 and can 't believe this is going on in my body. I had the same experience with my back about two days ago... it's terrible. I am overweight.. Before I was diagnosed I started a new way of eating and a physical regimen and I am doing so well. Now I'm afraid that PA will slow me down on my health goal. My recent back problems has slowed me down w/ my exercising. Also, about 9 years ago I was diagnosed with Horner's syndrome in my right eye. It was determined that I was not born with Horner's, for several years they did testing. Now I'm wondering if the eye problems are caused by PA. Anyone else have eye problems? Guest guest
Hi Dana. My weight gain is from the Prednisone. Its a terrible drug and I hope to get off of it when I start the MTX in a couple weeks. Not being able to exercise is hard on me, as I have 3 Golden Retrievers that love to walk and run in the woods, and I am unable to do that right now. Its been about a year I have had this problem with my back. Good luck Dana!
