Hi everyone! I've been diagnosed with this for about 4 years. I

know I've had it longer, but never wanted to admit it in my early

20's. But in my mid-30's and was diagnosed.

I did methotrexate for a while, but that didnt help. Then went to

enbrel, and it worked great, but my copay went from $30 a shipment,

to $450 a shipment. This was just too much for me to be able to

afford, so I went back on methotrexate in the past few months. It

isnt really doing anything, so my doc suggested Remicade today. She

said that it will go into a different part of my insurance, so it

shouldbe covered well.

I was excited, well nervous, but excited. I still don't know if it's

gonna go through or not, with insurance... So if it does, I'm nervous

about it, because I am reading the info that comes with it, and the

possible side-effects scare me. There are soo many scary things, I

just dont know.

Has anyone on here used it or know anyone who has used it? I'm just

not sure if I want to risk possibly having any of those side-

effects...I'm just not sure. It scares me.

Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this.

Thanks

Dawn

,

Hi my name is Sharon and I was wondering about your

double hip and knee replacements. First tell me about

the hips and how well you are doing with them because

it is starting to look like I am going to have to have

both of mine done. Thanks Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for responding to my email message. Yes, I had both of my hips

replaced, the right one first and then the left one two weeks later. As of

today, I have had few problems or pain with my hip replacements. But, I have had

more problems with my knee replacements, probably because the knee joints are

more complex, and because I have had blood clots in my legs. I would suggest

you check with your arthritis specialist for further advice and treatment.

Take care and I hope you feel better soon!

Sincerely,
