Guest guest
My guesses about why many in one family seem to have Lyme or other MTBI: -families share activities and therefore exposure risks -pets-either bringing home ticks OR the need to walk them -shared genetic tendencies- why some can have a brief flu-like reaction and after 4-5 wks Amoxil are fine yet others have years of severe illness despite several drugs. Also how we process and therefore utilize the drugs. - gestational- undiagnosed for a few to several years BTW I havent yet seen any good studies showing human transmission ( including sexual) althought it may not be impossible. It seems though that a LOT more apouses would be affected than currently are...and these can be explained by shared exposure or related to work etc. Just because Borrelia is a spirochete like syphillis, does not mean it will transmit the same way; or have the same treatment successes...as shown by Lyme treatment failures after taking typical " Syph " drugs!
