Guest guest
I am sorry to say mine came on that quickly. I had a little psoriasis first, then literally woke up with arthritis in my wrists. sent to rheum. put on plaquenil, was allergic to, by the time the reaction cleared up had psoriasis again. i am impressed the er made the diagnosis. in 1995, it took 3 rhemuy before i was diagnosed. no one had ever heard of it, i thought i was the only one in the world w/it before i stumbled on this group. it did involve my nails. he needs to get into a rheumy and/or dermatologist asap and get on proper meds. the drs are good at hurry up and wait, while you are miserable. the longer he waits to treat, the worse and irreversible the damage will be. good luck to him, and if paying for his meds will be be a problem, i discovered the Healthwell Foundation last year when my husband was laid off. They give away so much money each year for various diseases. I go in under psoriasis, my derma. fills out the paperwork, he prescribes my Humira anyway, and i have gotten $4000 2 years in a row. I think fewer people apply under it. They saved me last year because my copay with Medicare D was over 500 a month before i reached the donut hole. Hope that I was helpful. good luck to your son. susan
