Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who replied with tips for my first (well second as the first one blew me off) rheumy visit. This doctor, and her intern, did not blow me off. They agreed I had inflammation, and could feel/see it, even though today was a " good " day for my pain. The doc wants to put me on Methotrexate, so after my lab comes back, and my Xrays (feet, ankles, hands, wrists), I'll start. I'll have to get monthly labs as she'll only fill my Rx once per month. I asked her about taking Benadryl and she said her pts usually don't have any symptoms, especially taking it at night. Well, I'm going to have it on hand anyway, thanks to this board! :-) She'll also put me on folic acid. That's pretty much it! I'm anxious to get started. How long did it take for those of you on it to notice it helping? C. [Editor's Note: , thanks for updating us on how the appointment went. It's good to hear that it went so well. Each person is different, of course, but it took me about 7-8 weeks before I started to feel better on MTX. I hope it works wonders for you.
