Guest guest
, CMT is atrophy, MD is dystrophy, you can find some of our old posts in the archives on this archives/ then put atrophy or dystrophy in the search box. The posts will come up. We have also had discussions about whether MDA assumes complete financial responsibility for the CMT client or not and even in correspondence I received from their Development Office, the 'level' of FR wasn't clear. Clients need to know up front what is covered, what is not. My own experience with an MDA clinic was horrendous. Went in for help in controlling my tremors, instead the Drs. demanded I be fitted for AFOs. I was 27. I thought they were out of their minds, left, and never returned. I have discovered the best solution for my medical problems has been professionals in private practice. However, I do know people who have been helped tremendously by MDA and I am happy to hear you are too. For any new members I am posting the MDA website http://www.mdausa.org I also have this under our 'links' file. ~ Gretchen
