Guest guest
Kim, What Folder Names do you want to see? Examples: No Corn Recipes Healthy and Tasty Salads No Corn Desserts When someone sends a recipe I can ask them what category / Folder it should go in. Many items could go in more than one category so I'd like to keep things organized, but not too specific. What do you think? =) Robynn Re: [ ] Whole food recipies? Hi Robynn, That's great! And having you coordinate the whole thing will keep it nice and organized. Personally, I'd rather go with general catagories like " corn-free " " wheat-free " etc. I don't know if you typically send out the automatic notification when a new file is posted but that would be helpful too. I'm really looking forward to getting some menu ideas, I hope the members will participate! Kim Here is one to get us started for a " salad " or " desert " catagory: Bombay Banana Salad 2 Oranges 2 Bananas sliced 1 Cup seedless red grapes ¼ Cup toasted almonds 12 pitted dates pitted and halved Dressing ½ cup sour cream 1 Tbsp brown sugar or honey 1 Tbsp chopped chutney ½ tsp curry powder Grate peel from 1 orange and reserve for dressing. Peel and slice oranges. In a bowl, toss salad ingredients with dressing. Dressing: Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Stir in grated orange peel. Guest guest
ok Im very Lymie with flares tonite...so dont shoot me BUT after thinking it over a few more minutes the specific " free " categories may not be as good as general ones with codes...why??? well, lets say I dont need corn free but still wish to try one of those recipes...without it listing what else its free of ,I may not be able to use it this way I see lets say chicken salad...look after it and immediately see what it is free of. any thoughts?? Guest guest
Oh, Finnette you're the best! I think that is a GREAT idea to have general meal catagories like that and then do a quick code for all the different " free " catagories they could be labeled as! There would be much too much overlap any other way. I started drafting two replies to Robynn today but I'm feeling Lyme-Brain today myself (nasty headache and feeling like I can't focus on anything) and I just couldn't get myself to come up with a solution for catagorizing. Thanks so much!! And I second Finette's gratitude for you volunteering to post these Robynn.
