Guest guest
Hi Misti, I'm so sorry to hear all your woes due to this monster disease. I think everyone of us has been effected in one way or another due to this, and even touches our loved ones. I lost my career to this even though I didn't know what the true monster's name was. I am a writer(short stories and non-fiction), with this diease I do not have the energy to even write any longer. My first(I call this my experimental stage. LOL)husband couldn't take my " sick " days and began to be violent with me. After 5 years of marriage, I left and never looked back. I have been blessed with a man who believes the vows we took--for better and for worse and in sickness and in health. We have spoke about his " freedom " but he ends it by saying that his freedom is here with me. I am so thankful to have been blessed with my life mate. And I believe that there is hope for others of us who have lost a marriage mate due to stresses associated with this disease. Hang in there and keep the hope that you will find someone, if you want someone,to share your life with who really loves YOU. Has your Dr. talked about adding a biologic to go along with the DMARD? I have been reading that sometimes this helps in better control of this disease. Maybe you could ask your Dr. about this if (s)he hasn't mentioned it yet? I wish I could be of more help but I am pretty new to this in the sense of a diagnosis. I know I have had this disease since I was a kid with the first dxing at 12. Welcome to the group. I hope you find it as helpful as I am. Hugs, Corie [Editor's Note: , you are so right - study after study has shown that a biologic WITH a DMARD works far better than either a biologic or DMARD alone. Something to discuss with the doctor... Thanks for pointing this out. Kathy F.] > > Hi everyone - my name is Mysti and I was diagnosed with Psoriatic > Arthritis in mid 2005.
