Guest guest
Hi CM Pete, I was very surprised to read in the psoriatic arthritis forum of someone else with a " Frozen Shoulder " . I also have the hot flashes problem too. My rheumy indicated that folks who get frozen shoulder often have problems like PA. How long have you had frozen shoulder. Guest guest
Debbie and Pete Another frosty shouldered PA member here - I've had frozen shoulder, both sides, for 5-6 years before my PA diagnosis. Looking for shoulder relief is what started me on a search for body work I could afford and helpful yoga stretches. Good news: both shoulders have improved quite a bit now that I'm on MTX and Enbrel. Best wishes - > > Hi CM Pete, > > I was very surprised to read in the psoriatic arthritis forum of someone > else with a " Frozen Shoulder " . I also have the hot flashes problem too. How long have you had frozen shoulder. > Debbie > Hey Debbie: At first my shoulder problems were dx'ed as a 'diabetic frozen shoulder' (who knew that diabetics are suseptible to this little delight?) Both P and shoulder problems started just about a year ago. Then my knee got into the act. Then I got a dermatologist that actually LOOKED at my skin and said 'psoriasis'. Then the rheumy put all the things together. Now (three months later) all of my major joints are swollen and painful, despite MTX and humira. I can't raise my arm above my shoulder, nor can I reach sideways or behind. I suspect that it may be damage due to PA, but then again, since frozen shoulders 'always get better - eventually' I'll keep my fingers crossed! And phooey on any physician who says that arthritis doesn't move around! Hey, I can look it up on the internet and in five minutes, learn about flares, symetrical joint involvement, asymetrical involvement, extreme fatige, etc, etc. Guess that physician doesn't visit the same websites as us.
