Guest guest
Hello, Does anyone know which States are good for people with PA and RA to live in? I know some climates can be worse than others with Arthritis. We are considering relocating, any climate tips would be helpful! Thank You, Lorraine

Guest guest
I lived in FL for 4 years. The warmth did help- but I found summer year-round depressing. The Carolinas were a much better fit for me. -L linoalf@... wrote: thank you for asking this one...my finacee and I are contemplating moving from MN to FL ourselves - wondering what this will help and hurt? Guest guest
Hi Loraine I think cold and dry is the best climate for me. I can always go inside to warm up and bundle up when outside in the cold. Nothing makes my ankylosed spine feel better than lying in cold dry snow. Hot and hot moist are exhausing for me. I don't know if cold dry is as good for the psoriasis component, however. Best wishes, Brent > > I lived in FL for 4 years. The warmth did help- but I found summer year-round depressing. Guest guest
I went to Puerto Aventuras (Mayan Riviera) for two weeks in April 2005. My psoriasis disappeared and my PA symptoms were alleviated. This April I'm travelling to Kauai for two weeks and anticipate the same good news. This past late December, I travelled to Mission Beach, San Diego, and I also experienced relief. It's definitely worth a try. Please keep me posted. Guest guest
Maybe your right- hot and dry? My P seems so much better when I get a little sun. When I got pregnant with my second child it was the first time in all my life I was totally P free- but a week after he was born it came back with a vengence- showing itself in places I had never had it before (my trunk, arms.legs) I was in shock-The the PA hit in....and I knew I was in trouble. My first pregnancy didn't help the P at all- so it was really strange with my second everything went away and I was like healed! One thing I have noticed- if I get stressed out- or upset- The pain just sets in.... If I do too much house work (like the spoon story) My spoons are all used up for the next day....I can't even get out of bed. Well, you guys keep talking about the natural medicine. I like a few other in here do not want to take the hard stuff just because I have a few fingers, toes and ankles swollen. I would rather try the alternative route and if it doesn't help I will start the more traditional route. This chat has been a big help...by the way....thanks guys. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Yes- my point...Somehow the warmth just makes me symptom free! I know the swimming really helped- etc... __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Amy, we live in north-central Florida for the winter, and back to Anoka Minnesota for the (short) summer. Florida is a gift from god, Minnesota winters would have killed me. Florida summers are very hot and humid, I love it, my PA loves it, my wife does not. I highly recommend the Gainesville Florida region. English is still the language of choice here, no hurricains, inexpensive property values. Hope this helps your decision, it was the best decision we ever made.
