Guest guest
Hi! Welcome to the group. I am amazed and impressed at the women on here recently who are reaching out for their husband's sake. I don't know much about Psoriatic Neuropathy...actually, I know NOTHING about it but I know the people on this site and I know that if any of them know a lick about it, they'll reach out and help you. My arms fall asleep for no reason and they thought it was carpal tunnel but it's not it seems so I'm thinking I should listen up to what folks say to you and maybe I'll learn another way to help myself. I will be thinking of you and your husband and will keep you in my prayers as you go through this and hope that you find some answers to your questions. -Betz

I had a go at trying to find a site and all I came up with was a General Healthboard group where Psoriatic Neuropathy is mentioned. I think you might have to join its group to find it. If you want the URL let me know and I will send it to you. Sorry that I couldn't help more. If I have more time later I will try again. Take care,

Guest guest
Thanks for all of your responses and kind words. My husbands arm has been numb for 4 weeks now (without waking up), his face two weeks, and his leg just started. They have ruled out MS, Lymes, and tumor... They put him on 80mg of Prednisone (SP?), have sent for a ton of blood work, he has had MRI's of head & neck, and a nerve study test showing some moderate damage. What we do know is something is causing damage to the coating around some of his nerves... The question is what???? Best to all,

Guest guest
Betz - I'm exactly the opposite. My hand and arm goes numb when I sleep with it up over my head elevated on a pillow. sherry z > >SO DI....do you have to sleep with your arms propped up on pillows? Guest guest
Hello, Have they ruled out Transverse Myelitis? I was on Enbrel for approx 13 weeks off and on and had this happen to me. I started getting numb all the way to the waist over 2-3 days time. Thank God I have recovered about 85%- the bottom of my feet are still numb and I get restless legs and heaviness at times-but I can manage with that. Transverse Myelitis is rare- but is listed on Enbrel's site and inserts under the neurological side effects. Not sure if that was the medicine your dh was on - but if they haven't checked for that-you may want to look it up on the internet and ask about it. Mine didn't shpw on the MRi and was a clinical diagnosis. I hope your husband makes a full recovery... God Bless You, Lorraine
Guest guest
I had to quit taking Enbrel because I starting losing control of most voluntary functions and several involuntary functions. Generalized pain increased and I started to forget everything. Upon quitting Enbrel, I slowly got better over the course of a couple months. I am currently enduring PA with a low daily dose (5 mg) of Predisone. My Rheumatologist says that given my circumstances, he would be treating himself exactly the same way that we are treating me. I have been having a low-grade flare-up for a month - during the last 2 days it has moved to become a moderately strong flare-up. I loved enbrel when I first started taking it.
