Guest guest
Girl, IT'S YOUR LIFESTYLE. If I tried to do all that I would fall down dead. I admit I could probably do more than I do, but the fatigue is REAL. Ignoring it will not make it go away. I have tried and end up crashing. You need to trim back a little and if your husband can't help you, start assigning chores for the kids to do to help you after ball practice or whatever. You have to work, so pace yourself with your household duties so you don't wear yourself out. The experts have proven, so they say, that 6 to 8 hours of sleep is enough for an adult. You just have to figure out what works best for you. When my children were all small, my husband worked what they called " shift work " . One week days, one week swing, one week graveyard and then back to days 24 hours after getting off Graveyard. So I know about husbands sleeping during the day. He didn't help me one lick with things around the house either (exception: he did some yard work). And I did not have PA back then. Not that I know of. So, try to slow down some and see if the fatigue will let up. God Bless you!! Janet in Ca

Guest guest
Have you asked your doc about Fibromyalgia? I have that with the PA and I, like you can sleep a week get up and felt as though I never laid down... I never go into REM sleep so therefore I feel lousy... its just an idea or something to look into... I feel your pain in the fatigue dept. I recently quit working, so i just have church and my child and the house... I hope you get to feelin better!!! Guest guest
Gosh, , even *without* PA I would be exhausted if I had to keep up your schedule. Wait a minute, once upon a time I did - and I was! And I didn't have PA then. I think that if you keep up this pace, it won't be long before your other symptoms are worse than they are now. You've got to take care of yourself, girl! That is rule #1 and job #1 with PA. And don't tell me you can't slow down. Something is just going to have to go, that's all there is to it. You are playing with fire, treading on thin ice. (Do I sound like a mother? Well, I am. lol) Please, please, slow down and take care of . Your kids can live without all the sports, or you can arrange other transportation for them. Even if it means directly asking for help from other people. Maybe the full time job can become part time. Maybe the lifestyle can be scaled down to allow for smaller income. I'm just thinking aloud here. But something *has* to give. This disease if forever. You need to read the spoon theory - someone linked to it recently in reply to one of my posts. take care - seriously! sherry z > > Does anyone else suffer from extreme fatigue, or is it just me? Guest guest
It > doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I wake up > feeling tired. Hi , Have you had a sleep study done? Perhaps you're not getting to REM sleep, waking up many times a night and not realizing it. I didn't realize how many times a night I was waking up until I had a study done and found that I had a big 8 minutes of REM sleep the night I was there! I now use a CPAP machine (insurance generally covers this), and after using it for five months, my fatigue has greatly diminished (except at when I'm driving). I still have daily episodes of narcolepsy, but feeling significantly less fatigue. Something to think about. warm blessings, jane __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Does anyone else suffer from extreme fatigue, or is it just me? It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I wake up feeling tired. I am always tired no matter what I do... It's the worst... Love and Peace Always Shaun and Barb
Guest guest
Yes, I am exhausted all the time, I can't seem to get anything done. This is one of the worst parts of this PA. I always had so much energy before this and I miss it terribly! If anyone has the answer to this fatigue problem, I am all ears! - In , " Two " <twohearts1977@...> wrote: > > Does anyone else suffer from extreme fatigue, or is it just me? Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I know I need to slow down. Sometimes it catches up with me and I just want to sit down and cry. I have wondered about the fibromyalgia, but I don't think I have any of the other symptoms. But will check with my doc next visit. I was so busy at my first visit that I failed to ask my doctor about the fatigue. I wish I could slow down. I don't want to deprive my kids from their sports since they enjoy it so much, and I do enjoy going to the games. I think a major part of this too is that my husband doesn't think I have a real disease. Since I look pretty normal and generally don't complain out loud I think he assumes that I am fine. I have pretty much let the housework go, but all that has done has aggravate me more because the house is a wreck. I don't know, but I will figure something out I guess. I have developed a major cold this week, so maybe I'm whining because I don't feel so hot right now... Thank you for the words of wisdom! Guest guest
Hi , I'm so fatigued today, it's making me feel sick. I am switching from Enbrel to Humira (spondylitis). I hope works on the fatigue. Are you taking antidepressants? I've found the antidressants help with my fatigue also. Mark > > Does anyone else suffer from extreme fatigue, or is it just me? Guest guest
Hey ...any chance you could get Mr. Husband to go to an appt. with you? How cool is your Rheumy? Could you discuss your husbands in ability to recognize the disease with the Rheumy and get the Rhuemy in on it? I am divorced....have been for 6 yrs but I understand this as my X never " got it " either. I know the pain of going through it alone and I have to tell you, it was harder when I was married because I was SUPPOSED to have someone there to support me. And because I was supposed to have that, everyone around me assumed I had help. I did not want to make him look bad and I think that also I was a bit ashamed of the situation too so I kept it to myself. Sometimes it was so evident though that I could not cover for him...like the time he took me reluctantly to the ER and then took me back home and left me with my then 2 yr old. His brother's wife phoned to see how I was...not expecting me to answer and be alone with . She was furuios and drove 45 miles to come and get and let me rest. She always knew and I could not cover it up where she was concerned. She is still my dear friend and a strong supporter. I am not trying to tell you to divorce the fella of course but I wanted you to know that I understand the pain of going it alone while you are married. I DID try to get him to go to scans and testing and Dr. appts with me and he told me that he could not " handle it " because his grandmother was sick when he was younger and it scarred him. However....he has been in the hospital with and not seemed phased. He also watched me get cut open during my C-section....actually peeked behind the sheet and watched so I know now that when you really want to be there for someone, you will and I wish I had called him on that one. I do wish I had just said to him " It's your responsibility as a husband to be there with me at these important appts. and understand my health issues. " You know that they expect if of us down the road. Anyway....I'm sorry you havae to go through this and I will be keeping you in my prayers ...for your fatique, your schedule to lighten and your husband to " get it " . I believe things can get better.... -Betz > > Thanks for the suggestions.
