Sometimes you need to have the latest Java software installed.

Go to http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp . If you have the latest

update it will say " YOU'VE GOT THE LATEST! Test your installation. If you

saw the java.com showcase to the left animate, then you have successfully

installed Java software onto your desktop. If you could not see the

animation, click the Help link below. "

If the box on the left doesn't have a " movie " playing, click on the " Help "

link. Follow the directions given.

If the directions aren't clear, you can download the latest version at

http://java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp . Be sure to follow the

download and install instructions. After the install it should take you to

the page that says you have the latest version.

Hi Robynn, I don't know why I'm having trouble with the chat room. Any

suggestions? A line at the top says " invalid something or other " and then

the words get messed up. Help? Jillian

Well, you are not the only one Lilian, I too have never noticed

that there is a Chat Room facility on the forum and I wonder if this is fairly

new. However, will ordinary members please confirm that you actually can see

the 'Chat' link in the Menu please? This is because Lilian and I are joint

owners of the forum, and owners have many more facilities in the group than

members.

Would you believe I have only just noticed that

this group has chat room facilities. I had a look in it and I see one or two of

you have popped in, but as nobody was there obviously left again.

There is no reason why members of the group shouldn't take advantage of it but

as it is not a manned facility it might be necessary for you to inform other

members of the group of the fact that you are there, or as they might not get

the message straight away, perhaps give them some notice of when you will be

there.

Maybe one or more of you who would like to chat would volunteer to be there at

certain times of day if others want to turn up then. You can sort it out

between yourselves because it is there for all the members.

As it can not be moderated you will be expected to moderate yourselves and not

discuss anything which would not be allowed on the message board and if

something crops up to agree to email privately.
