Guest guest
I am somewhat new to the group. I and both my daughter's have Lyme's desease and I am still trying to figure out the testing. Apparently although they tested " negative " with only two positive IGG band on the LabCorp western blot, it is my understanding this would have been called positive by IgeneX. How is this test different from Labcorp's Western Blot and IgeneX and Central Florida's test? I am interested in anyone's opinion on this as I am trying to decide if and where to get another test. On another note I am also looking at testing for coinfection. I have info from IgeneX and Fry Lab in Arizona on this. I know little to nothing about this testing so I am wondering what your opinion woudl be on where to get these done? Are the results as unreliable as Lyme tests? Is there another lab that might be more " accurate " than either of these. Does anyone get tested for Rickettsia as a routine coinfection? IgeneX does this test, but it is not part of the " coinfection panel " . What about CD57 testing. Does anyone know when this level supposedly goes down with Lyme? Does it only go down in late stage chronic Lyme or does it go down in accute lyme? I have heard it is not as accurate an indicator in children as it is in adults. Does anyone know about this? What about vit D levels being reversed with with 1,25 Dihydroxy being higher and 25-hydroxy being lower? Is this just indicative of late stage chronic lyme or can it occur in accute lyme as well? Please feel free to email me off-line. Thanks. KK
