Guest guest
Hi , I would include in that list the meds you have tried that were unsuccessful in treating your pa..Meds you have tried that were successful but for whatever reason you may or may not be on thet now..Treatments you have tried and if it was sucessful or not such as physical therapy, exercise class..etc.. That way your rhumy will have an idea where to start with treatment now instead of trying something that never worked in the past.. I wish you the best...Vickey shannon <jdelazzer@...> wrote: I'm trying to be proactive in my upcoming visit to my new rheumy. I am writing a list of things I want him or her to know about. Guest guest
Hi Vickey, Thank you for your help. I haven't been on any medication that helped yet so I will let him know the few I have been on with no success. Thank you again, Vickey Arnold <smilin4dannme2002@...> wrote: Hi , I would include in that list the meds you have tried that were unsuccessful in treating your pa..Meds you have tried that were successful but for whatever reason you may or may not be on thet now..Treatments you have tried and if it was sucessful or not such as physical therapy, exercise class..etc.. Guest guest
This is just a note of optimism for everyone. I was diagnosed w/ PA about ten years ago, I was having terrible trouble teaching my sped class and doing after school work. I eventually went on to Voltarin 150mg a day, MX at 15 a week, and 15 mg of prednisone a day. This worked okay for several years and I was able to continue teaching school and tennis. Although the pred put me into diabetic territory. A year ago next month I had an athritic knee replaced-TKA and went off all the meds except Voltarin prior to surgery. After the surgery the P had abated almost completely and the rheum said to try stopping the MX. I have and for almost a year I have been feeling even better than before. I kinow this may not last forever but know that things can change and get better. I know how painful it can be but there is hope. god bless greg --- JEFF DELAZZER <jdelazzer@...> wrote: > Hi Vickey, > Thank you for your help. Guest guest
Hi ...another thing would be to list everything chronologically, since they will ask you when symptoms started, how long different meds worked, etc. And if you keep adding to it, you will always have it for when you have to see a new doctor, even one that is not a rheumy.
