Guest guest
Tina there are a few I personally know of in NJ but I dont think any take insurance...but most insurance will reimburse...but a few are costly--that is over what companies call " reasonable and expected " ...not that this says much: insurance companies seem to feel that paying a reputable neurologist $95 for a full evaluation is fair so when they see a few hundred dollars for an hour visit at an LLMD they simply disallow it!! if you still need names of Drs in NJ email me...pros and cons with many--we try to NOT mention names on any info boards Finette finrussak@... He will take lyme aid for kids. It will cover up to $1000.00. You can get information on it through lymediseaseassociation.org . Fallon, who we also see in Dr. Horowitz's office is familiar with lyme aid for kids because I used it for my daughter. Also, if you mention to them that you are having to pay out of pocket and it is difficult, they will work with you. They have with me. It is still very expensive, because she's on the limited Cowden Protocol, but as my daughter went from 3 ER visits a week to none for the last 3 months, it has been worth every penny. I'm a single Mom on disability, so believe me, I understand the financial strain. The other possibility is to get you daughter on disability. I couldn't find one Lyme doctor who would take my daughter's insurance either, but many take Medicare. I don't remember how long it takes a child to get it, but it may also give you some money to help deal with the bills. Good luck to you! Annie > > Hi, > I am looking for a Dr for my daughter.
