Hello Everybody,

Could anybody tell me what the symptoms are for Iritis/Conjunctivitis.

If you've had trouble with this, what are the warning signs?

I've problems with dry eyes for years now. I've had occasional, what

my primary care doctor would call, painless migraines. When I have

these I see psychodelic colors with no headache. I haven't had those

but a handful of times. Last week I had blurred vision in my right

eye only, with psychoelic colors in the periphery. A couple of times

since then, I've had eyeball pain in my right eye. The pain was

fairly severe but probably didn't last more than 30 seconds. Do you

think this is anything to be concerned about?

Thanks for you help.

Mark

Hi Mark:

I had several bouts of iritis. My first time diagnosed my right eye

was blood shot (it didn't hurt) and my pcp put me on some eye drops.

The next morning my eye was so red and it hurt. I went to the eye doc

and they immediatly diagnosed it as iritis and I was put on 2 drops

(one was Pred-Forte a cortico steroid). My other flare ups the eye was

not red it just hurt. After 3 flare ups of iritis my vision went

totally blurry and I was diagnosed with a cataract (caused by the Pred-

Forte). I had my cataract removed and my vision is wonderful. I am

on Remicade which keeps the iritis in remission.

I used to be on remicaid and it helped my pa so much, remission

actually....however i have no veins left for iv's.... this last time in the

hospital taught me that.... and to put a port in, would not work due to my

immune system =(( So now I'm Raptiva, well was before surgery, I keep

passing out since surgery, probly the addison's disease and they won't let

me start it back up again until we figure out what's going on... sad... glad

it's working for you!!!

Ok...I'm going to just be frank here...it's your eye Honey. If you

like your eye, see a doctor. Don't mess around with it. It could

also be neurological. All the best. By the way... I got sent to my

room for asking my Daddy how to spell psychedelic in the 60's. lol -
