Guest guest
A few weeks ago I responded to a post re foot care and I couldn't remember the type of sandpaper I had written down from my podiatrist. I found it today, it is Drywall sandpaper (mesh) #120, and it's safe if you are a diabetic (still use gently, though). This gets followed up by a Lanolin Wrap. Hope this helps those who are interested.
Guest guest
<<He told me to soak in a solution of water & clorox>> Right, well don't try this at home kids! Bleach is very corrosive and can create more problems than it resolves. RA North Jersey
Guest guest
Dear , Your English is just fine, maybe even better than some whom live in the US. Yes, I have had very bad times with my feet as well. I also take MTX. First I would like to share with you that i have had heel spurs in both feet and also had such severe pain in my feet and neuropathy. I am a former professional dancer, I teach and choreograph now in the university system. I was unable to walk without a cane. This would come and go but this did finally pass. I tried almost everything over the counter I could find. I also talked to many people that had home remedies... Nothing worked for long.... It just had to run its course. One thing I have learned about PsA is that its a sneaky devil. In a blink of an eye the location can change. Don't lose hope! As for your fellow workers, you are right, it is personal. For those whom really care about you.... Let them know you have PsA if you're comfortable with that, then let the rest go. Sometimes no explanation is enough. They just might not have the capability of being compassionate to you regarding your illness. We all are. We understand! As for MTX I think it is a really difficult drug for some of us to take. I know I am very sensitive to it. I have nausea, headache, vomiting etc. I lost a lot of hair at first also. We call the fogginess you feel in your thought processes " brain fog. " Just my little joke I use with my family and friends. It may be just the MTX, but I also take prednisone, Enbrel, thyroid replacement, and was just diagnosed with diabetes. I wish you luck. I hope your pain subsides soon, and you are able to find a doctor you would like to work with. Good luck! Be happy! Wilmot-Bishop
Guest guest
Hello, Are you on any anti-inflammatory medications as well (I take naproxen every day for pain)? Also, what kind of shoes are you wearing? I wear only Birkenstocks and New Balance shoes for the most part, and this helps with my foot pain. When do you go back to your doctor? You should definitely bring up you concerns-perhaps the MTX isn’t working anymore, or perhaps the dosage needs to be adjusted. Good luck! Guest guest
If you're looking for super-comfortable flip-flops, I just found the most comfortable pair ever at Adidas.com. They have " fit-foam " and I ordered a couple extra pairs because they are so comfortable. I'm have issues with my feet and knees right now -- and they are wonderful.
