Guest guest
I notice many of you switching from enbrel to humira and that is what my doc recommended for me. What can you tell me, is the big diff in the shots? I will be only taking them twice a month but do the humira shots burn more or hurt more than the enbrel? Are there more side effects? My doc is hoping with humira I can get off the prednisone and arava. She was hoping this with the enbrel and while it does help a lot I am still very stiff and swollen in my ankle and finger joints mostly. I can't tolerate MTX. Took it for about a year and then it started bothering my stomach too much. Thanks, Joy [Editor's Note: In my opinion, Joy, the Humira shots hurt much more going in, but I am an adult and it wasn't like it was impossible to stand the pain. I had no side effects with either medication. Our bodies are all different and accordingly each of us reacts differently to medications. Humira worked better for me than Enbrel has but Humira also stopped working for me after about 18 months. So far, Enbrel has helped me to some degree for quite a while now. So, good luck with the Humira. Hope it is a gift to you. Kathy F.]
