Guest guest
Thanks ! I'm actually in Ohio- but I appreciate the offer! I'm really steering in the dog/cat sitting direction. I have a lot to consider! To me, it's well worth the $$ to have my little dog picked up (along with a bunch of other dogs) and taken to the dog park...the dog sitter sits at a picnic table with all the other dog walkers and chit chats all afternoon and the dogs exercise themselves...I also much prefer to have someone stay in the house with them when I travel vs. taking them to a kennel. The dog walking/sitting business is so strong here that dog walkers limit themselves to a few mile radius...there is TONS of consumer data out there showing double digit growth over the last 5+ years on pet owners spending increasing/they spend more and more on their pets...it's the right time to get into this business:- ) > > GOOD LUCK and if you happen to live in Seattle let me know and I'll give you some business!!! > >

I would love to get into the business of taking care of dogs. I would like to be able to go to someone's house and feed them and let them out. Some people need this when they are on vacation, etc. I was told that I should become bonded and insured for this just in case someone is missing something and they accuse me of taking it. I don't know how to go about doing this. Would anyone know. Janet in NY
Guest guest
I went through a standard insurance company... Just call up and ask to get info on getting bonded... They'll ask what you are doing, you explain it and they look for an underwriter and will give you a quote... michael > > > > ...I've recently returned to work FT after being home (due to > PA) with my 2 dogs and cat...long story but I moved to Seattle for a > new (less stressful) job and was worried about my 2 yr old beagle who > needs daily activity... > > I would love to get into the business of taking care of dogs.
