Guest guest Posted January 25, 2007 Report Share Posted January 25, 2007 I was diagnosed nearly 7 years ago w/ PA. Went thru all the typical meds... NSAIDS, Sulfa, MTX and finally in 2003, my rheumy let me try Enbrel. What a drug! I, within days, felt drastically improved. It is nearly 4 years later and I still have little pain and have been able to enjoy a normal 32 year old life. My son will be 4 in April and it gives me so much joy to know that I can now do anything I want with him! I resumed playing baseball and hockey. I could barely get out of bed 4+ years ago and now (knock on wood) I am healthy again. I still have minor aches and pains, restless leg syndrome, but I'll take that ANY day of the week. I am so grateful for this and I wish everyone could experience the same relief from this drug. I work for the company that manufactures HUMIRA and unless ENBREL stops working, I would never, never switch. I wouldn't even have to pay copay for HUMIRA (save $240 per year), but the money is worth every bit of the relief I have. I know big pharma's get a lot of bad press, but I'm sure happy we have them!
