Thanks for the practical suggestions also. I have a referral to a rheum dr now, but am concerned about the visit. I have had the pain, mild swelling, and stiffness for 8 months but no large swelling or hot to the touch joints. I had seen a rheum dr. early on in symptoms and got the brush off with prednisone which made my skin psoriasis flare....and this is after I repeatedly questioned the rheum dr. about the choice of prednisone. So, I'm worried to see rheum again, that they will be either disbelieving or untrained about the psoriasis factor in treatment. Anyone else had these troubles?? I'm glad I found this group!
