Guest guest
Omg...everytime I open a post, I discover another symptom for this disease....first I realized that my TMJ might have a link and then the eye infections and retinal damage. Next it was the neck issues and heel pain that I found I had in common with so many on this site...now I am understanding that my Eliza DoLittle thing might be PA too???? When will this end? -Betz Betsy Jack itsbetsy@... [Editor's Note: A doctor first suspected PA when I was 16 and kept breaking into songs from South Pacific every time I was in his office. As to Eliza having PA - INDUBITABLY! I'd say more but I have to get into my surrey with the fringe on top. Kathy F.] [ ] Re: usa usa usa usa *Fie on Goodness, FIE* *LMAO*...Ohhhhh Kathy, the show tunes came first for me (speech/theatre major) but maybe that just means the onset of PA was earlier than thought...*wicked grin*. The mutation into rooting for a NY team is due to #34 - Cedric Houston. He was one of my students at CHS and I was one of his four senior class sponsors. Taught his sis as well and knew his mom back in the day...feisty lady...and Ced's a good kid. I don't care if he's in his 20's now - he'll always be a " kid " to me. Oh, as for the Panther variation - it could be found in the first round of this year's draft - DeAngelo - knew him at my other school. However, if the two were ever to face off in the Super Bowl *I know, in my dreams* - I'd be NY all the way...knew Ced much longer and better. Peace, Jenn in AR [Editor's Note: Jenn, thanks for the explanation. I'd root for those teams, too, given your knowledge of the players. Years ago, I knew a guy on the Mets ( " the Stork " Theodore) because he and my best friend used to date during high school in Utah. I need no excuse to root for the Mets, of course, since I was raised in Brooklyn and my family was still mourning the loss of our beloved Dodgers when they moved to LA. At least I got to go to ONE Dodgers game at Ebetts Field as a little girl. When the National League finally created another NY team, all the love we had for the Dodgers moved to the Mets. The Stork used to get us great player seats behind home plate at Shea. Too bad he was injured and then sent back to the minors - never to return. As for the Broadway show tunes - well, growing up in NYC meant going to Broadway plays as a kid and now you know the rest of the story. Guest guest
Man it's good to laugh myself silly. Thanks girls. Today is Enbrel day and though it's better today (no clouds) yesterday was a doozy. I had to get help me walk across the yard once. This one storm cloud actually circled my town TWICE yesterday. We could hear the thunder booming and see the lightning strikes in the distance. First on the east side of town and then on the west. Each time I heard the thunder I thought it was laughing at me. Those are the worst days. And the thing is, I LOVE storms and rain. It's the way I feel BEFORE the storm that gets my bones going. The sun is out today and I'm a little better. So I start the day with a laugh and a shot. This is your life Betsy Jack. And you guys are the guests on the show. Thanks. -Betz Betsy Jack itsbetsy@... Hey Betz...barometric pressure changing is a drag for those of us with PA...I lived in FL and the summers killed me because every afternoon it stormed, so every day was miserable! This is a big part of why I moved away! While I know being on Remicade is helping, it is also helpful not to have the weather deck stacked against me... Guest guest
No, not urban myth. I get really bad migraines when storms come up. I used to live in FL. too, and the Hurricanes sent me whirling along with them, Jeanette Re: [ ] Re: usa usa usa usa So it's real...this weather thing. It's not an urban myth? I recently moved to Seattle and have noticed that on the weather channel here they often have an arthritis index along with the pollen index. Not sure where that comes from either...someday I'll do some research and see what I can find...but it is very clear for me personally that it is related to barometric pressure change. And since I often here people on this board saying their joints tell them when a storm is coming, I would think others have the same thing:-)
