Guest guest
Hi Wanda, Yes I am scheduled for December 28th. I've been so busy with physical therapy for my leg and neck, doctor's appointments and storing up my own blood; along with the holidays I'm about to lose my mind! LOL But, I am excited and nervous about my surgery. Thanks for thinking of me. Blessings, dreimutter1957 <dreimutter1957@...> wrote: Hey , Aren't you scheduled to have your surgery this month? Guest guest
Janet, Thank you for your concern. I had my class today and meeting with the surgeon again. He expects me to recover fairly quickly. Although he says I will not walk totally normal for about 6 months to a year. Yikes! Take care, cameronparkmom@... wrote: Hey , Same here. Yikes! 6 months to a year? Wow! Well, maybe it won't take that long. I was back at work full-time in 28 days, no cane or anything. It'll be 4 months since the operation on December 28th (the day of YOUR surgery...coincidence, hey?) and things are great walking-wise. Again, I wish you all the best and a VERY speedy recovery! Guest guest
He says that I will feel ALOT better but that my limp is so severe that it will take awhile for my muscles to learn how to do everything right again. I will not limp nearly as bad but I will probably limp longer than most people. He says I can go back to work as soon as 4 weeks. I'm looking forward to not being in so much pain all the time. Guest guest
just make sure the doctors give you your arthritis meds as well as pain meds because I found that my arthritis hurt worse than the surgery . Because the surgery made my arthritis flare up . also make sure they prescribe anti nausea meds for you so that when you come out of surgery that will help you . cathy from ma

Guest guest
Thanks for asking, I'm doing great! My hip has no pain at all. I still have a slight limp which will take a bit longer to correct. This surgery has been such a blessing. In about two weeks I will start Humira, my doctor thinks it will be a great thing for me so I hope it is! I really need some relief with my neck pain. If it's not one thing it's another, right? LOL Take care, martincoyless@... wrote: In a message dated 11/12/2006 12:31:29 GMT Standard Time, jdelazzer@... writes: Yes I am scheduled for December 28th. Guest guest
, Glad to hear you are doing so well, with the hip anyway. My son had his hip replacement about the same time you did, just before Christmas, and he is being released to go back to work in about a week. The only problem he had was an allergy to the tape they used on his incision. I hope your neck gets better soon.
