Guest guest
Hi All~ I just wanted to thank everyone that replied to my PA/pregnancy post. I appreciate your insight and your encouragement tremendously. I have never been one to be embarrassed by the P, I think because I have had it since I was 4. When I was a kid (70's) I had many different treatments for the P. I remember for a time sleeping with a showercap and in the morning not being able to wash out the greasy medication... I remember several injections, and even having my own lamp for treatments, tar shampoo, etc. The treatments never seemed to really work.... they would make it look better for a period of 12 hours or so. The only thing I have used on P for the last 15 or more years is over the counter Neosporin. I usually apply it once a day... it is painless and seems to clean the area up a bit. I haven't given much thought to attacking the P.... because I don't know life without it. When my PA began (during our engagement) P sprang up on both elbows... which is strange because my elbows are my ONLY joints that are NOT affected with PA. People notice the elbow P more than the scalp, and since I am a teacher to 10 year olds... they love to ask questions... and I love to educate. I guess I just wanted to share a bit. I enjoy reading about all of you and your stories.... I am just so grateful to have found this group. There is such a wealth of knowledge here, great support, and a feeling of not being alone. Thank you, Jody --------------------------------- --------------------------------- Photos Got holiday prints? See all the ways to get quality prints in your hands ASAP.
