Guest guest
> Hi Betz, I had a urinary tract infection about this time last Summer. I also did a couple of rounds of antibiotics to kick it. What a pain...literally. I tried dumping the Enbrel last January. I manage to stay off of it for about 3 months. My symptoms returned. I tried to control it with anti-inflammitories and ended back up on Enbrel and I saw a lot of improvement again. Now my Rheumy is switching me to Humira after diagnosing the spondylitis... Good luck, Mark > Anybody had trouble with UTI infections and Enbrel? Guest guest
Hi Betz, You are not alone, now im on my second antibiotic for UTI the first one didn't clear the infection so they put me again on a different antibiotic.I've been on enbrel for almost 2 years now and ever since the first year passed i began getting those infections, each time a different kind of infection and being a woman added some more infections to the list, i don't think that the other meds don't carry side effects, i believe each med has severe side effects, so i'll stick to enbrel that's my choice, because no other medication has made me feel better. Guest guest
Thanks Mark....I did not know men got " those " . Yikes. That had to be uncomforable. Women are used to that stuff. I really want to stay on the Enbrel. It saved me. Hoping it works out for me that this is not a pattern. -Betz > > > Hi Betz, > > I had a urinary tract infection about this time last Summer. Guest guest
Hi Betz, I'm glad things worked out and you found help in time. I have been in those positions more times than I like to think of, both married and single. I was out of town for a few days to a family reunion in Oregon, but it was so hot no one showed up. Those of us that did said hi to each other, ate and then packed up everything and everyone and went to my sister's air conditioned house to finish our visit. It must have been over a 108 degrees out there at that park. Now that I am home, I discovered I didn't edit my postings and they are all on my email. Over 350, so I am still reading through them. I saw Mark mention urinary infections so I just wanted to mention that I have an awful time with those and have all my life. I have found that taking cranberry in pill form on a regular basis has saved me from this problem for years. When I have the " feeling " of discomfort, I take an extra couple with a lot of water. Anyone on MTX should be drinking a lot of water anyway. In case you think we escaped the heat when we came home from Oregon, you would be wrong. It has been over 100 for 11 or 12 days now. I haven't even gone out for the mail since we got back Sunday. Hope you are doing better and I'll pray for your health to return so you can get back on that Enbrel. Hang in there! Love ya, Janet in Ca
Guest guest
I forgot all about the Cranberry Connection! But I remembered to brush my teeth this morning and turn off the coffee pot. Thanks for reminding me. I'm adding it to my grocery list tonight. I hope I don't forget my list. -Betz > > you need to drink cranberry juice everyday .
