Guest guest
Hi, n, There don't seem to be very many people who take Arava posting! I've been on it since last winter and have had remarkable relief. I didn't know how bad I'd felt til I felt better! It was my rheumy's first line of attack...no MTX, remicade or anything before it. I have noticed an increase in opportunistic skin infections, slower healing times for cuts and bruises, but have had no other apparent side effects (and I admit there are some possible ones that are scary). Hope it works for you! Good luck. Lucia (Editors's Note: I was on Arava for about a year without any positive results. When I first went on it, I felt as if my legs were being stretched on a midieval torture rack. Each person's experience is different and what is poison for one is perfect for another. Guest guest
I was on it only a short time also. My liver enzymes were way out of whack and I was having trouble breathing. They even sent me for pulmonary tests. So no more arava for me either!!! Guest guest
Hello ! I live just north of Dallas, Texas. I knew that you are located in Scotland from reading the posts. It's on my list of places that I'd love to visit. I'm sure it's cooler there than here today. We're going to be around 100 degrees F. Feel free to be nosey anytime! n > > m-schaefer1@... writes: > > I live in the DFW area... > > > Hi n, > > Sorry to ask but what does DFW stand for? Thanks n, I was in Austin Three years back just for a couple of weeks. Brilliant place! I reckon it is around 56 degrees F at the moment. They are saying it will reach a peak of 64 degrees F. Big Wow! lol Thanks again,
Guest guest
> > Hi ! It was good to hear from you. 64 deg F would be heaven right about now! We're back at 100 today and still very little rain! We've been in a drought situation for over a year now. Our night-time temps are around 78-80 deg F. I am so thankful for Air Conditioning!! So you liked Austin! It is a really neat place; you can't hardly beat the Texas Hill country. Friends of ours live just outside Austin on a bluff that overlooks Lake ; it is awesome! We live about 4 hours north of Austin. It's not nearly as pretty - but it's been my home since I was 10 years old! I don't post often, but read everyday; usually while I'm eating my lunch at work. This is a great resource; I'm really glad I found ya'll! Take care! n

I'm glad you found us too.
