Guest guest
Stacey -- listen to your body!!!! It knows when it's had enough. I totally know what you mean about getting things done. I am the same way. My fiancé and my son don't do too much around here. They seem to forget why I am home and not working. As hard as it is, take your time, spread the chores out and be careful, get rest!!!!! My family has had a lot of back issues. I too am following in my Aunts foot steps. She was the 7th person in the USA to have a stimulator. Although hers was with an external batter/receiver. Aren't genetics fun? My fiancé says that I am in the wrong gene pool. It's more like a cesspool that anything. Way to many back issues. I can't imagine having 18 back surgeries... that must be rough. Chin up and listen to your body THANKS!!! Hi everyone. Thanks so much for the support. My house mate is on vacation and her mom lives with us, so yesterday she needed laundry done and since I can't seem to say no I did it. How do you keep a type A personality down. Plus I'm the type of person that if I see that something needs to be done I do it. I can't do a little each day and take my time either. I have to do it all in one shot. If I start I can put my mind totally on the task at hand. I know I'm still in pain but I feel who else is going to do it. Not to mention that if I take a brake and sit down isn't allowed because if I sit down I'll never get up. Needless to say that's what happened. I did the laundry yesterday and today I'm paying the price. I have a lot of nerve damage in my legs so today just getting up to go to the bathroom is a challedge. I'm always joking with my friends that my butt hurts because of some of the nerve damage but today it's no laughing matter. God when is all of this going to end. My back problems were given to me by my mother. She also had DDD and had 15 back surgeries. The doctors tried the stimulator on her and for a while it worked but my mother was stubborn and hardly ever listened to the docs. Eventually the leads moved and she had three more surgeries on top of the 15. Being that I am like the Energizer bunny and try to keep going I hope I won't screw this up. That's all for now PEACE TO ALL ~Stacey

I ended up staying in the hospital over night because I couldn't keep food down--something that happens to me when I have surgery but am doing much better today. I definately learned a big lesson--ask for pain medicine and don't be a hero -- big mistake on my part. I'll try to get on chat soon but again thanks for all your good wished--hook up Nov 1. Guest guest
Thank you all for your responses on children and passing on this dreadful disease.........I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I am requesting a baseline bloodwork and xrays.... see what the doc says, and if nothing else, its something to document it if something comes up later in life. Guest guest
> > Thank you all for your responses on children and passing on this dreadful > disease.. I know those of use who have PA and PS have other autoimmune crap going on. I have hasimotos, fibro and allergies as well. Is anyone familiar with Celiac disease. It is also autoimmune and the doctor now suspects my daughter to have it. It causes a great deal of gas, bloating, diarrhea, etc and can be mistaken for IBS. She has to go for all different tests right now. Thanks Janet in NY
