Guest guest
I must say that I used everything including the cocoa butter and vit. E. I have a map on my tummy that would put Rand McNally to shame. LOL I have to laugh now as there's really nothing else to do. Stretch marks start on the inside and work their way to the outside of the skin. I have very dry skin which didn't help. I will never forget the itching deep down when a stretch mark was beginning. Just my 2 cents. Guest guest
Getting a prescription for Retin-A shoudl be pretty easy. It is very common nowadays. You will likely need a dermatologist to write it. I don't think you will have any trouble and it is worth a shot. I use an eyecream with retin-a and have had great results (fingers crossed that it stays that way!;-) > > > Hi All, > > I know there is no miracle cure for stretch marks, but I was > > wondering if anyone has found something to tighten loose skin and/or > > fade stretch marks. Guest guest
Thanks for the ideas. I'll give it a try. The worst marks are on my hips and tops of thighs--the ones on my stomach were from having kids and I doubt those will go away--but since the other ones are pink from losing this fat layer, I think they may be fresh enough to heal if I put something on them. Someone suggested aloe vera from an actual aloe vera plant. I may try that too. Thanks again! Guest guest
Vit E oil or Rosehip oil. But the damage is done. Use some kind of oil or alpha keri oil to reduce further scarring. Guest guest
I don't have a recipe, but when I was pregnant both times I went to the health food store and bought pure vitamin E oil and would rub my body down every night from butt up to my chest and never had any stretch marks at all. HTH > Tami When I was a kid and started " porking out " around 11 or so ( about the time I had my appendix out) the " old wives tale " to cure stretch marks was pure coacoa butter. My granny gave me a whole bar of it and told me to use it as much as I wanted. I guess the ones on my tummy didn't get too bad and the ones that had popped out BEFORE the cc butter were less red after I used it. Guest guest
I got the recipe from a book myself but I do know that both oils are very high in vitamin E. My father-in-law got rid of many facial scars using vitamin E capsules on his face. It has restorative properties. Guest guest
In a message dated 6/30/2004 1:07:39 PM Eastern Standard Time, writes: got stretch marks and used a good lotion. I think if you are prone to them, then you can maybe curb them, but they are probably gonna happen. I was pregnant at the same time as my best friend, and while I did gain 60 lbs (oops) I did use lots of lotion, and still lots of stretch marks. I think you're probably right. I'm the one that said I didn't get any stretch marks after two big babies (10lb and 9lb). I actually never concerned myself with the prospect of getting stretch marks and I never used any lotion. I guess I just got lucky. My mom hasn't shown her tummy since my birth. It's a big old hanging blob of cottage cheese... she got the stretch marks bad! I must have gotten the good skin genes from my dad's side. K

Guest guest
The areas you gave are a good place to start. You can also go to Spinal and Timed Therapies. (If she has a favorite Vit. E cream have her bring it along and place it on the test tray while you do the therapies). In Timed Therapies there is a WONDERFUL therapy for Skin repair called "Skin Healing Pulse" and in Sports Program under Sports Injury are several you can use. Also in Timed Therapies Music and Superlearning, Timed Treatments is Injured Tissue Treatment. So there are many options to help with imbalances. Guest guest
Hi! My 15yo son now has weird stretch marks on his lower back. They're horizontal, purple, and thin. Any ideas on why he would get that at such a young age given he is not even overweight? Thanks, Angie
Guest guest
Pyroluria is the answer you are seeking. Do google searches for Abram Hoffer, pyroluria and kryptopyrrole for more information. Here are two quick ones that I have done. Supplement recommendations are in the second article: http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/pyroluria.htm http://www.naturopathyonline.com/PatientRoles/pyroluria_quiz.htm http://www.kryptopyrrole.com/ > > Hi! > > My 15yo son now has weird stretch marks on his lower back.
