Guest guest
Has anyone else noticed a connection between taking zinc at bedtime and nightmares or night wakings? I have tried this a handful of times and every time we give the zinc at bedtime (which is the only other time I can give a second dose of zinc without overlapping with calcium) he wakes hysterical, running to our room crying and recalling very vivid nightmares. Some he has described would even scare ME! lol Does zinc stimulate the brain or something? So all we have been doing now is one 20mg capsule of zinc at lunch time since we don't give calcium then. He weighs 35 pounds, so I know he should be taking at least double what he is getting now, especially since we are chelating on the weekends. Could it be the brand? Maybe we need to try a liquid instead? Any ideas? I don't like to keep throwing money away on supplements that don't get used, I know, I am not alone there. I think it's time to clean out the cabinet that is busting at the seams with unused supps and post some for sale on the AutismForSale group...call me lazy!
