Guest guest
I don't know if I should be posting this here or on FDC, but it concerns an adult and a child. A friend sent me to the AC protocol a year and a half ago. She never followed her own advice. Her child is 7, and she has been all kinds of biomed for over five years. Her son has lymes, she had lymes while breast feeding, he is on antibiotics, yeast control, enzymes, probiotics, I think she is doing the SCD diet with him. He is a fairly severe case of autism. She has given him a lot of Yasko supps, EDTA, Pectasol, NDF, even once chelated him on the DAN protocol, you name it, so I am sure it has made his metal issues worse over the years. I went over to her house. She has seen and learned of the great progress my son has made on the AC protocol. She has the DMSA in hand. She has a copy of AI - she says she is ready to try the AC way. She has fallen on hard financial times and her family life is in disarray. I tried to give her a thumb nail sketch of the protocol. She wanted to know what supps she absolutely needs to chelate, I told her zinc, some kind of multi mineral, vitamins A, C,D, E. Some fish oil/efa supps. She has all of these or will have them on board soon. She is going to continue probiotics, enzymes antifungals etc. She also gives her son B12 and a B complex. I told her milk thistle is key. He is also very high copper - so I pointed out the copper protocol to her. I told her to lock up her Yasko and other supps, and disregard them. Did I miss anything? Also, she asked me if it is " too late " for her son. I said no, I do not think so. It is still possible for her to bring him back isn't it? It is not too late after 6? I wanted to give her hope, but not unrealistic hope. She is nervous to wake him up at night, because he just started sleeping through the night. I told her the night doses are non negotiable, and in my experience actually easier than waking doses. As to herself, she had lymes, and it sounds like adrenal and hormonal stuff going on - she wants to chelate with her son. A month ago some holistic doc gave her a " high dose challenge " with dmsa. She said it was ok. However, she complains now of extreme depression and anxiety etc. Is this likely a result of the challenge? Doc wants to put her on antidepressants now. She wants to know if she should go on them and if she can chelate while on them. I told her the depression now may be a result of the challenge. I encouraged her to increase her intake of antioxidants. What else can she do? I told her no more challenges ever for herself or her son, ever. I told her not to chelate herself until she recovers from the challenge and checks out her adrenals. I gave her a bottle of ACE for herself (and her son too - who she says has lots of meltdowns) If she takes the antidepressants, can she chelate while on them? I advised her to do a saliva test first too before starting chelation. Anyway, I did not know what to tell her about the antidepressants and the chelation or her son's prognosis for recovery. I want her to have hope and to do things right, but I don't want her to have unrealistic expectations. Andy and others, if you have any insight, I would appreciate it, so I can pass it on to her. If it weren't for her, my son would not be on the road to recovery, I want to help her, and return the favor. I am forever grateful to her.
