Sometimes, the thyroid feeling enlarged is just a temporary symptom. I've

had the feeling of fullness from taking iodine, but it went away. However,

since iodine can cause goiter, I don't think we can say what will happen in

your case.

Remember, take NO Vitamin C before having fillings removed. It causes

problems per Hal Huggins. (I think it interferes with the anesthesia.)

Also, if you have low adrenals and are on Cortef, it would help greatly to

quadruple your dose. Dental work is extremely stressful, and I learned that

this makes a huge difference in recovery time from dental work.

I can actually see the lump in my throat. So is it likely it will go down on

its own if I avoid the iodine?

My adrenals are low, but I am not on Cortef. I am taking tyrosine, rhodiola,

and vits/mins. Hopefully that is enough. My ND doesn't like HC or glandulars

for some reason...Oh, and I won't take any vit. C this morning, but lots

afterwards! :-)

Thanks,

Olif

my girl is around 70lbs. i am only doing 6.25 mg. of the ALA, since she is a

high reactor, and also if i mess up on anything, at least its a really low safe

dose. do you think this makes sense or am i not doing anything with such a low

dose?

We're pretty new to this too, but my daughter is similar to yours - very high

reactor. She is also 70 lbs and I started her at 8 mg and she had such a

negative reaction to it, so I had to drop the dose to around 6 mg and shortened

the time to every 2.5 hours. We completed 6 rounds so far, and she seems to be

doing ok with it.

Just our experience...

30Mg. a day. I asked her isn't that a bit high and she said it will help me out

better. I go for anxiety and agoraphobia. I been taking Lexapro for a couple of

months among others for High-Blood pressure and Cholesterol. I also take Xanax

for the anxiety. My question is this, isn't this a bit to much. I am starting to

feel like Elvis. Maybe I am wrong. Is 30 Mg. a day allot. Thanks for any input

and your time.........Ray

Well, in the beginning the therapeutic dose for Lex was supposed to be 10mg.

Half of what the Celexa dose was. But it seems they can up doses now. Perhaps

they have more research, know more about doses relating to specific conditions?

Just as for Cymbalta...which when used for pain, the dose seems to be a good bit

higher than what's used to treat depression or anxiety. At least this seems to

be true for the peripheral neuropathy sufferers I know of prescribed Cymbalta

for nerve pain.

Please...discuss this with your doc if your worried about it.

My doctor (and various websites) say 20MG is the MAX because I have begged him

to increase mine and he refused.

I take Librium (generic) also for the anxiety. No, you are not like Elvis.

But I would question this, as I have researched this previously. ???
