Guest guest
Veri, When was on Celebrex she had stomach problems. She was put on Prevacid for this. Celebrex I was told could make the stomach bleed. She did have loose bowels at times also. I am not aware of the other Med you mentioned cause has never been on that. These Meds are harsh on the stomach though. I use to have tell me the color of her's because I was worried about her bleeding out the butt. Guest guest
Robin, I am probably spelling the Plaquinil wrong I am not sure. We get the generic of it and it is Hydroxychloroquine. Has ever taken that? When was on the Celebrex and had tummy troubles what other meds was she on. I have taking some Pepto-Bismol for now, hopefully that will help. Guest guest
was given Celebrex so that his stomach would not hurt as all the other NSAIDs did cause him stomach problems. With the Celebrex, he had no problems even at 800 mgs a day. Michele ( 18, spondy) upset tummy Do you know if Celebrex or Plaquinil can cause an upset tummy? From reading the posts I know many kids are on something for their stomachs. When I talked to the Rheumy's office today I was told that Celebrex and Plaquinil basically never cause an upset tummy. After almost two weeks of this I have ruled out having a bug or something along that line. Just wondered if any one had tummy problems with these meds. Guest guest
Veri. and Pepto never gee hauled together. 1 dose and was throwing up. lolol One thing about it was I never had to worry that she drank it like some kind of candy stuff lolol. took Flexaril and Celebrex along with her Asthma meds. For her Stomach it was Sodium Bicarbate as the first start then went to Zantac and now she takes Prevacid and if the Stomach is really getting to her she takes a Phenagen. With the loose bowels I would give her cheese lolol. I also cut the Green veggies out a few days. loves Spinach mixed with Collards and the Brocolli and Brussel with Cheese. mixed up. If the diet contains high sugar intake it will give the loose bowels or if it's high in greasey foods. It's about like the old Castol oil lolol. Grandma would say open up and you would take it and she would give it to you for whatever ailed you. I would call the doctor and let him or her know. She could dehydrate or cause the rear end to get raw. You know and My Son would get the runs if they ate Ice Cream I mean everytime they ate it. So it could be she has gotten allergic to something. See if you can go with liquids for 24 hours then soft foods see if this helps. I know that was the way I went with most of the time. Guest guest
Dang if I had that kind of diet I would have shriveled away into nothing ,......lol I couldn't do it ! upset tummy Hello all, First let me thank everyone for sharing your life here. I get a lot of strength and comfort from reading your posts. Week #7 here. Going well, or as well as can be expected. Chills, fever, body aches…and itchy skin!!! So many different diet recommendations……from different sources. And many of them conflict. For example, Vinegar. We were told no pickled food or vinegar as it has something to do with the body’s ph. No cheese, as it promotes virus. No green veggies…too much iron. No red meat, again with the iron. No vitamins…too hard on the liver. No sugar or fake sugars either….puts us at a diabetic risk, No tofu, beans, oatmeal etc.…No, No, No…I think you get the idea! So for breakfast here it is live culture yogurt sweetened with a touch of stevia and blueberries. Maybe the rest of the day has a bit of chicken and spaghetti squash and wild rice on occasion. Some herbal tea…ginger is preferred, helps with the stomach yuk. Did I already say NO fish? Don’t even handle raw fish!! No potatoes either? Bread is bad too? So you can imagine the weight is dropping…as well as muscle mass. Good attitude though…I think. We were wrapping Christmas presents last night and we had handfuls of M & M’s!!! Now that’s more like it, eh? Gotta grin…. Thanks again. Let’s hang in there. D
Guest guest
My guy threw up a couple weeks ago getting off the bus. Wasn't sick. Today he's telling me something, his supplements are upsetting his tummy. Suggestions please. I thought I'd stop everything except his daily, add one new and test for about three days. I'm thinking this may work. He's almost 10, high functioning. BTW - he's been getting the giggles and tells me he can not stop himself. Been terrible when trying to have a serious discussion and you want to wipe that smirk off his face and every little thing is funny, even when it isn't. It is yeast, can tell off a chelation round. Interesting. Tammy
