Guest guest
Dear Liz, I read that the almond peel is toxic, so we should eat them unpeeled. Perhaps that's where the glutamates are? Mark and Liz Grady <grady@...> wrote: Dear Lona, No, glutamates are different I think from L-Glutamine which is an amino acid. Glutamates occur naturally high in almonds for instance which cause me bad arthritic type pain. Never realised this before but these natural occurring food chemicals (food phenolics) are a big piece of the CFS puzzle. MSG is a food additive (monosodiumglutamate) which is a baddie. The natural glutamates do overload sensitive systems like ours. Reducing food phenolic load like salicylates, glutamates and amines from the diet do help our bodies to cope more when so sensitive. When the body starts to cope more and heal, you can probably cope with more natural food chemicals in the diet. I do believe that is why herbs have never got me anywhere because they are so high in salicylates. Hope this helps, Liz -----Original Message-----From: Lona [mailto:lalalona@...] Sent: Thursday, 8 April 2004 2:04 PMcandidiasis Subject: Re: Re: Would love some feedback Do you mean to say that foods with l-glutamine in them cause candida? I found by cutting out foods that contain natural food chemicals so helped my aching joints and muscles. In particular salicylates and glutamates. These naturally occur in some food. Salicylates also cause bad thrush as well. Many candida diets do not work because although they cut out sugar and refined flour, they don’t cut out foods with natural chemicals like salicylates, amines and glutamates. For instance, avocado allowed on most candida diets is very high in salicylates and glutamates as are nuts such as almonds. Even pumpkin and carrots are moderate in salicylates. There are too many to type out here but just wanted to let you know by cutting them out of the diet, things started to improve. They are soaked first and then dried. There's instructions in the Recipe Files. You do not sprout them. Bee
Guest guest
I know for a fact that if you want to do the research and spend the extra money, you can order almonds direct from farms which have not been irradiated. I have a friend who found some and had them shipped to her.

Guest guest
Before I found out what the amalgams and vaccs had done to me (and family members), I researched various foods to try and fill any nutritional gaps in hopes of delaying impending death, and found that almonds were the most complete and concentrated source of nutrition on the planet. I then bought them 25 pounds at a time for about a year... they're too expensive here in Thailand, but I have a far more varied and safer diet here, and I'm also 95% recovered now. I also refer to Almond Joy (Indescribably Delicious), not to say the candy bar is nutritious because that kind is much more likely to kill you, but the words have a spiritual connotation to some... Guest guest
Most almonds are heavily sprayed with pesticide. There is a grower in California that sells organic raw almonds I think. > > Anyone know anything on Almonds? Safe?
