zinc sulphate-Andy/Others?

Although through biomedical intervention and diet restriction my 13 year old

daughter is MUCH better, have determined I owe it to her to at least attempt

chelation to see how much better we can get.  Problem is she is very sensitive

to things, so must go slow and one at a time.  To start with I did a 4 day round

of just ALA, (3-4 hours), and all went fine-no negative or positive reactions.

Problem is now to continue I'll need to get some supplements in her.  I've tried

a few zinc products and she reacts negatively to them.  (For her a reaction is

she feels stress, and it affects her brain function-same type of reaction with

gluten; dairy; mold, some chemicals.)

A doctor we have seen suggested a liquid zinc, called zinc sulfate.  He believed

this is a more pure form and she might not have a problem with it.  She can

tolerate sulfate products with no problems.  I tried a small dose, 5 mg, and had

no problems.  But when I tried to bump it up to 15mg it stressed her out.

If Andy/other's feel OK with this zinc I could try breaking it up into 3 doses

of 5 and see what happens.  She weighs 110 lbs so that still would not be much,

but a start.  If not, I'm open for other suggestions of zinc type for a zinc

sensitive kid?

Her hair zinc test was off the charts, 350, so I believe that indicates

interference from chlorine or shampoo.  Her blood level showed normal.  I'm

under the impression that if I am to continue chelation I must at least get some

basic supplements in her-zinc; magnesium, vit c (no prob with mag or C).

Thanks!

Kari
