Hello Everyone,

I am hyper and I always feel like I'm always bloating...in my stomach

area...I didn't know why. After listening to this group... it is interesting

to hear that thyroid can affect our bodies and cause us to bloat like that.

Maybe this is the reason why we all have weight problems??? Who knows??? How

do we find out if we have too much water in us??? How do we take care of the

problem???

Hi ,

I, for one, used B-6 for bloating and it did nothing for my bloating. I am

hypo. I also used corn silk, nettles, and every thing I could find

including over the counter diuretics, but they did NOTHING.

I was wondering about the bloating and then later read

your post about how wiped out of energy you are when

you get your period. I was the same way, have you

heard of using natural progesterone cream? It is used

in women who have estrogen dominance symptoms?

My doctor put me on that then added a prescription

natural progesterone tablet and this extreme fatigue

has been eliminated!! Blood flow is lighter too, I don't

swell up with water all over anymore.

Hi,

Bloating is the only symptom I had when I was diagnosed with gluten

sensitivity. It's a fairly common condition in people with autoimmune thyroid

disease. A test for IgG gliadin antibodies will confirm it. I found it's

easier to avoid gluten now that I know for sure that it's the problem.

, sounds like you're in reaction city! If you can get your hands on

some aloe vera juice, I find that this helps to ease any bloating. I would

avoid those foods, as bread and vinegar are no-no's on the candida diet -

the bloating is your body's way of telling you this.

See, that's part of my confusion - I've not been diagnosed with Candidiasis - I

only suspect it - about 3 weeks ago I went to my primary care doctor because I

was having chest pains - he did an ekg and a chest x ray and my heart is looking

good, so he diagnosed me with dyspepsia, gave me some Aciphex and told me to

come back if it didn't get better. He also drew blood because my other blood

test had shown a slightly elevated calcium - well this blood test showed my

calcium levels to be okay, but my thyroid levels were off . . (sigh) . . so now

I have a referral to an endocrinologist this Friday.

After having all this happen, I went to the bookstore and found the book No More

Heartburn by Sherry and starting reading in it, and found the symptoms of

Candida overgrowth and they match a lot of what I'm going thru. I called my doc

yesterday and asked him to give me a call back - haven't heard from him yet -

I'm going to ask him to just write me a prescription for one of those stool

tests that Dr recommended in her book.

I am totally open to any suggestions or help here - I feel SO frustrated and

angry at what's happening.

When you have candidiasis you should avoid vinegar and bread (bread breaks

down into sugars). The diet is hard, but well worth how much better you feel.

Hi faith me too i seriously look pregnant , i have gas and my

wist line isnt small i believe in time when ur candida goes this will

go ... thats my opinion it takes time =) off topic here i have gas all

the time soo i think thats part of it too candida does wierd things =)

do u workout and drink 10-20 glasses of water a day that might help

too atho ultimately curing yeast will get rid of it=) xoxo

==>Gas is caused by candida being killed off, which produces carbon

dioxide. Are you take enough digestive enzymes?

Hi

Just wanted to add another perspective to what others have mentioned about

bloating. This is one of my problems too. Some of it is due to my impaired

gastric motility (I have Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction), so I can't ever

eliminate it entirely. Food just sits for a long time in my stomach and

duodenum after every meal. But I've learned that diet and getting my gut

ecology balanced again (mainly getting the candida under control) has helped

tremendously in reducing the bloating.

It did take a lot of time, though, to get the bloating down to it's

now-normal minimal level. It took me about 16 months I think before I could

start wearing pants that weren't one or two sizes too big (needed that

looser waistband).

I've always been ready to experiment and test different foods to figure out

what would work best for me. I learned to stay away from high-carb veggies

(and no grains or starches either). Once you develop gastric disorders you

have to make changes or really suffer. Having a candida overgrowth is just

the same, in my experience.

Hi Elyse,

Sorry to hear of your woes, very uncomfotable to say the least. I am

surprised the vitamin c didn't help you, what about broccoli or any form of

cabbage? Are you eating any fiber?

Wow, Elyse, you are taking an awful lot of antifungals...clove tea, clove

oil, oral peroxide in addition to your coconut oil. No wonder you are so

uncomfortable.

If I were you I would take only the coconut oil with meals, chlorophyll,

vitamin and mineral supplements as recommended and drink the ginger tea when

you feel gaseous.

Of course you can still use the other fats...animal fats, butter and olive

oil with meals as well. Just no other antifungals for now. As Bee always

says " More is NOT better. " You can't rush healing.

***Hi elyse, I was like yourself, and I tried everything recommended

in the files except the magnesium, then one of the members posted in

reply that she took 1 tsp magnesium citrate in water daily, so I

went to the health shop and got magnesium,(you have to balance it

out with the calcium), and what do you know - within 2 days there

was " movement " , it worked when absolutely nothing else worked for

me. Hope something works soon for you, it sure can make you

miserable.

I wasn't taking all those antifungals all at once. I was ONLY taking

coconut oil, I started trying the other things as a result of my

problem, I posted those to say what I've tried in order to solve the

bloating. Anyway, yesterday I decided to take a break from the

coconut oil all together. After I started CO I increased it by only

one teaspoon at a time, but maybe that was still just too much. I

can tell that the coconut oil made me really tired, so it could it's

more than I can handle right now.

OH, okay, I thought you were taking all of them. However, it still sounds

like you are getting massive die-off symptoms. Especially if the coconut

oil is making you tired. CO should give you extra energy but die-off makes

you feel weak and tired.

I know for me, weak, tired and bloating always means die-off, followed by a

bout of severe itching. My personal solutions: drink a cup or two of ginger

tea and/or the liver flush cocktail (recipe in the files), take a nap, and

liberally apply CO and baking soda topically.

Not sure what you can do for constipation as I have not had that

problem...though I would think some extra magnesium might help.

Prayers for a quick solution.

Hi Kat,

Magnesium helps, but unfortunately then it causes the runs, it's one

extreme or the other.

You need to make sure that your bowels keep moving. My husband had

suffered a lot before someone suggested we try high doses of magnesium.

We started with one tablet a day, but pushed it up to 3 a day and it

seems to really help him a lot. We are also doing colon cleansing with

magnesium peroxide, which also seems to be doing something.

Bloating

I'm having never ending problems with bloating. I've tried so many

things including different kinds of enzymes and a lot of them.

Nothing I've done so far seems to help. The left side of my

intestines swell, it's painful and it feels like things are stuck

there and not moving. (I also have problems with constipation which

is related,).

The bloating you describe is quite serious I believe and I think that you

need to go to a hospital at once. I don't know the specifics, but this

happened to my best friend before her liver shut down.

Please seek medical assistance right away.

that happened to someone close to me & we never figured it out, but it seems

to have stoppedafter a vew years. probably part of menopause for her...she

had fibroids removed but never had a hysto despite docs wanting to. she was

thin all her life, but post-menopause she has gone overweight, and now has

what she refers to as a menopot belly. she always has been into food

big-time, especially sweets, but no longer burns it off. i have no clue if

any of this relates to you, but it might be something of a hormone factor

combined with the HCV and your history/condition?
