Guest guest
Hi, Am wondering if die off from yeast can cause increased yeasty behaviour?..He has been playing up at kindy, running off, inattentive, throwing books and general cheeky behaviour, after a 2 day yeast treatment with GSE etc + alkalisers. Would a stool test detect yeast after I've given the 2 days of yeast fighters?...bm's have been orangy brown,'sandy', with black specks which are hard to wipe off after gone to bathroom. I also really need ideas on how to firm up stool, he's never been constipated in his life, except as baby; Doctor suggested bananas for this issue but have a feeling they might be contributing to his yeast problem. Guest guest
GSE can do a lot of kill-off so yes, if the child is sensitive to yeast you might see a worsening for a few days after toxins and dead yeast parts are being released. Also, during the kill off you can see temporary flares of all kinds of bad stuff from the flora readjusting itself, so it is common to see behavior and worsening until things readjust. Lots of probiotics help make sure good stuff take the place of the bad stuff being killed. Something I wanted to mention is that I see loose and sandy stools in my boys when they are impacted (colon full of stool). The first time I missed the problem for months thinking that it was diarrhea, but then we did an abdominal x-ray and saw that the colon was full of impacted stool. It took a couple weeks of laxative and enemas to get it out and paradoxically to see formed stool. Before, the only thing that was coming out was loose stuf going around the impacted masses, and the black sandy stuff that was sticking to the bottom was lickely stuff coming from the surface of the impacted stuff. When impacted behaviors are bad too, because it causes pain and discomfort of course. And imagine how toxic it must be... Not saying that this is the case with your son, but mentioning it because I personally missed it and wish I had not...
