Guest guest
Dear , Please unsubscribe me to your group. I really do like learning all you have to offer, but the amount of information and e-mail is way too much for the time and energy I have to offer. All of the mail gets sent to everyone, so there is no filtering out the unnecessary. If you ever get it resolved to a simple operation, please put me back on your group list. My daughter had thyroid surgery for hyperthyroidism and is doing well, so if anyone wants information on thay path, we're happy to help. Good luck to you all. Guest guest
I have heard that female hormone(estrogen, etc.) have an effect on cholesterol levels. For example, high cholesterol generally being less of a problem for premenopausal women. Guest guest
I really need some help trying to figure out my sons SEVERE endocrine system issues. I spent some time on the " Stop the Thyroid Madness " site. I'm more confused than ever. My son clearly has almost all of the issues for thyroid, insulin, adrenals, cortisol, etc. I haven't slept in 3.5 years since he was born and I don't know how much more I can take...or he can take. He literally wakes up every 45minutes/every sleep cycle. We have had NO luck getting blood from him in the past year...and believe me we have tried just about everything and every idea that people have sent my way with the exception of putting him under. We since then have migrated to energy work (not sure if any of you follow/agree w/ this) but it has been about all that has worked for us. Anyway, according to this, he has severe issues w/ his hypothalamus plus adrenal and thyroid issues. He has been on Energentix products for thyroid, adrenals and recently start one for hypothalamus. All I've read says that saliva is the way to go for testing but impossible to get from a 3.5 yo. Our DAN! is willing to help w/ blood tests but we cannot get blood. It seems like Armour is the way to go but if I understand correctly that is impossible to get w/o blood testing and a script. Any ideas for this completed exhausted mother? Guest guest
Hi Jan, You wrote: You really can't do Armour without the adrenals being supported anyway, it will just make things worse. This is really interesting to me. We just did adrenal testing for my dd (age 8) and don't have the results back yet. She has been on armour thyroid for over a year. Her DAN! doctor recently doubled her armour thyroid dosage -- which I phased in over a 10 day period. Since being on the higher dose full time (3 days), she has been all out of whack -- emotional, unable to do school work, obsessive. After the phase-in, I added molybdenum which the dr. recommended. I think I should have waited longer between the two. Now I'm not sure which is the problem. I thought it must be the molybdenum, but after reading your comment about the Armour, it makes me wonder. How did you (and your daughter) realize that you can't do Armour without supporting the adrenals? What symptoms did you have? I think I need to start over so that I can see what caused this. Only wishing now that I could get her back to where we were before we started changing the supplements. We're trying to get ready for chelation and she's getting worse instead of better. Thanks for your input. Judy
Guest guest
..... This may be completely out there, but have you considered taking your son to a sleep clinic? The way you describe him made me think of an episode of " Mystery Diagnosis " on Discovery Health Channel. There was a little girl who would go to bed, wake very on schedule, vomit, and then go back to sleep. She, also, didn't appear to wake up, just sat up, vomited, and went back to sleep, and she had no recall of the episodes. They finally had her assessed at a sleep clinic, with video of her episodes. I can't remember for certain, but I think they found a form of epilepsy causing this. At least they knew what it was and had a way to treat it. This may have nothing to do with your son's situation, but just an interesting note. (We've been looking into sleep disorders in my family lately and finding sleep apnea where you wouldn't expect it.) With regard to blood draw, don't know if your child just won't allow it, or other. My son had blood drawn the first time at age 4. He is still as an adult a difficult draw because he has very small veins. They use a " butterfly " needle, which is tiny and works much better on him. Re Energy medicine, I'm all for it. Works very well here. We've been using various forms of energy medicine for over 25 years. We are now experimenting with cold lasers. In this case, it's an " Erchonia " laser with much hope of possibilities. I'm still looking further for electrodermal testing and others such as the Ondamed, which a friend told me worked well for her situation. We also use CranioSacral therapy with much success. Re the Erchonia, it has settings for brain neurotransmitters including GABA, which we're getting treated for. I'm hoping this works for anxiety. We're new at this, as is the practitioner doing it. He said he knows of a practitioner who is treating autism with the Erchonia, but he doesn't know him or the details. I'm not advertising this, we're just at the early, experimental stage. It is non-invasive and kinda fun. We'll see. Good look with all. Guest guest
Judy/Jan, Very interesting info. We have never had a 24-hr EEG and are considering it. Jan has been pointing me in the direction of assistance w/ his adrenals, thyroid, etc. and in reading the info she gave, the Dr. she referenced (Dr. Rind) is in our back yard so to speak. I was sooooooo phyched! We will be seeing his either this week or next. I have a call w/ him on Monday morning. He does a FREE 10 minute 'meet and greet' for new patients. I'm sure after that I will be seeing him. Anyway, we are pursuing this route first and after a couple months if not change, we will do a 24-hr EEG. We just started ramping up on the Adrenal Cortex yesterday and are hoping to see some improvement with that in the next few weeks. Blood draws - we have tried butterfly needles many, many times, no luck. I truly think it is an emotional thing with him as he has been sooooooooooooo subjected to lots of procedures in his life....especially early on. So we have moved to the other side....energy medicine. I love it. He has made the most gains with energy work than with anything else we have tried. Hopefully that will change when we start this protocol next weekend. We are finally ready! Erchonia: Our DC who does NAET uses the Erchonia for this acupuncture points. I think it is a wonderful machine. My son is clearing things left & right w/ this practitioner and the laser. He can tolerate B's orally now, tolerate and couple more foods (trying more this week), tolerating olive oil....most things people take for granted but he son was truly intolerate to almost everything that existed. Our DC, NAET and Erchonia is changing that for us......Now if we can just get our Endocrine systems balanced and get some sleep. ;-0 Thanks for your post!
