Guest guest
We must help our Texas physicians who recommend treatments that our individuals have benefit from. Please stand up for our profession, it is time to achieve reform here. STOP ABUSE BY THE TEXAS MEDICAL BOARD NOW! Abuse by the Texas Medical Board in harassing good physicians has gone too far. AAPS seeks to end the abuse once and for all in this legislative session in Austin with 8 points of reform. The Texas legislature meets only once every two years, and for only about five months. That window of time is from January through May right now, and legislators are considering 8-point proposal to end the abuse of power by the Texas Medical Board. See further information here on this site. http://www.txppr.org/ Texans for Patients' & Physicians' Rights! Dedicated to protecting the freedoms of patients' and physicians' rights in Texas and throughout the United States. HB 3816 is tentatively scheduled for a Tuesday, April 14th hearing before the House Public Health Committee. Please call the Public Health Committee TODAY to encourage them to support this bill. Please call your local representative and ask them to support HB 3816!†The 8 points of reform are these: * No more anonymous complaints * No more unsworn accusations * No more anonymous, incompetent or lying TMB experts * No more disregards by the TMB of administrative rulings that exonerated the targeted physicians. * Discipline only if there is " clear and convincing " evidence. * No more invasions of patient privacy, or discipline when patients benefited from the care and are happy with it. * No more career-ending punishment over minor documentary issues, or fee disputes. * Doctors, like attorneys, deserve a right to a jury trial before license revocation. Other medical boards around the country already have some of these reforms.
