Guest guest
ALA... alpha lipoic acid has been documented in research studies to regenerate peripheral and autonomic nerve tissue. i even read an article in some american diabetes journal about the studies. ALA is water and fat soluble and able to penetrate the blood-brain barrier. It is commonly known as the universal antioxidant but its primary use by the body is for glucose metabolism. i have witnessed cases of chronic pain due to neuropathy in feet respond extremely well (one case of diabetes comes to mind and a case of R.S.D. ....reflex sympathetic dystrophy also improved dramatically with alpha lipic acid..) jd Re: Nerve Regeneration > the hearing will return as the nerves are regenerated. > Hi Saul (or anyone else), What do you think about regeneration/rejuvenation, etc.? Guest guest
Jim Lambert wrote: , Your body already has this mechanism. It's built in. It is called hGH (human growth hormone). As we age, it is one of the few significant hormones that does not diminish production with age. What happens is the production of GHRH (growth hormone releasing hormone, the hormone responsible for triggering the release of growth hormone) diminishes with age, so the hGH that our pituitary produces is not released. Same end effect, but a different mechanism. So, all that has to be done in a normal person is to trigger the release of hGH. There are many substances that have been shown to trigger the secretion of hGH. They are called secretagogues. There are many secretagogue concoctions on the market, most at prices in the same range as growth hormone injections themselves, but only a few claim to have been proven effective by blood tests. This is a key point! There are only a couple of tests that give one an idea of how much hGFH the brain is releasing. The one that actually tests the hGH released after a specific stimulus has to be done in a hospital. The standard test in the longevity field is the blood test for IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor). When considering regeneration or longevity, it is best to take a base level blood test. They can be had for $49 from the right MD. If the result is in a healthy level for your age, then secretagogues are the first choice. My level, at 55, was that of an 80-90 year old man, due to a childhood brain injury. My level was so low it is considered disease-level. If I had gone through the steps, I could have gotten my insurance to pay for it. But, I don't have patience for that. So, I am taking the injections and paying for them myself. I like having control over my life. If you want REAL REGENERATION, then you have to go for the injections. On average, after 2-3 years on the injections, the organs, muscles & glands will have been so regenerated that the dose has to be cut way back. The average dose for someone taking this is 1 IU (international unit) daily. Prior to about 9 years ago the only way to get this hormone was from cadavers & cattle. It costs thousands a week & was dangerous, due to strange diseases that showed up occasionally. I wouldn't have been interested then. Now, they are manufactured by recombinant techniques. They combined the DNA of anterior pituitary cells with e. coli bacteria, and that little strain they created punches out hGH all day long! There are now many companies competing under license and the price for an IU is now $11!!! So, if you can afford $77 a week plus about $350 for tests and the doctor's phone consultation, you can go full boat! This is NOT for everybody! But it is excellent for some! The doctor I have is one of the best! His clinic is in Hilton Head. He cares about people! You can even write him email directly!!!!! You fill out a 10 page patient history (more than any other doctor I've been to) and send in blood & saliva tests, then you have a phone consultation. About 1/2 hour. There is no real reason he HAS to see you in person. This therapy is monitored by regular testing. You get both blood & saliva to start, a single $49 blood test a 1, 6 & 12 months. At that point, you don't need testing more than every 6 months if you are stable. If anyone wants to try one of these routes, I can direct them to a fantastic price on a proven oral secretagogue or to my MD. This doctor is also excellent for women with troublesome PMS or those into/past menopause. The doctors in the longevity field take a wholistic approach to hormone replacement. There is no one-size fits all. In about 9 years on these protocols, there have been fantastic results and NO scare stories. ANY scare story you hear from ANYONE is old news from the past, before rHGH was developed. (I have even had doctors who called themselves " experts " in this field tell be total BS old news! My doc also uses vegetable sources for hormones whenever possible. There is a list for this topic on egroups. It is Rejuvenation. jim J jackson wrote: the hearing will return as the nerves are regenerated. Hi Saul (or anyone else), What do you think about regeneration/rejuvenation, etc.? Green foods? Guest guest
jd, A friend of mine who has had RSD for 9 years visited me recently. She had not been able to touch her neck or ears on her left side for that time, not even a sheet when in bed. She couldn't live in a clod climate because she couldn't have a coat touching her neck! After 1 sixty minute treatment on the Chinese FIR lamp, she could touch her ear without any pain. Guest guest
Hi Jim, Interesting info.--I had head injuries too. Not sure how much my brain was affected by those. How about regeneration on the cheap? Without tests, expensive injections, etc. I'm just thinking foods, herbs, extremely reasonable nutraceuticals, etc. Something for the common man (I don't work and my husband has a teacher's income, so I consider myself that although to some people we'd be filthy rich). I'm kind of into universal medicine that might work for someone in a third world country, etc. J.
Guest guest
, There is a doctor online with a very fine newsletter. He also sells the first good secretagogue, proven by bloodtests, at about half what anybody else I've seen sells it for. His site is www.RxforWellness.com and his email is drjmaher@... He sells it for about $45 for a month's supply. Most sell it about $90 for the same. It is called Pro hGH. jim jackson wrote: > > Hi Jim, > > Interesting info.--I had head injuries too. Guest guest
My friend's mother had the same problem, but her problem was the entire shoulder. I met her on Christmas day where she came in wearing no coat and her shoulder completely exposed with her sweater pulled down to touch only her arm on the affected side. She eventually found relief from hyperbaric oxygen treatments. She told me she had gone down to Florida for several treatments and was convinced it wasn't working. In fact, her husband had gone out early in the morning to get their plane tickets to return to New Jersey, when she suddenly realized that for the first time in years she had been sleeping on her back! Dr. Stauch has been treating with HBO for nearly 20 years. Currently he is recovering from a stroke and is using his chamber along with other patients to regain full mobility of one hand and arm. My wife took 97 treatments with Dr. Stauch but the distance from Fredericksburg and return got to much for me and thus I am opening a clinic near Fredericksburg. Also, there is an HBO capability in andria at Mt. Vernon Hospital but the HBO Director Dr. Titus refused to treat my wife although she was only 8 days into her stroke and a patient in the hospital. Dr. Titus said there was no scientific basis for thinking HBO would help brain-damaged individuals such as stroke victims. Mt. Vernon Hospital only treats patients whose symptoms are covered in the UHMS manual and those authorized by insurance companies and Medicare. At my last count I believe there are 13 indications authorized by these agencies. So does Richmond , Va have an HBO capability in one of its hospitals Thats about it. for Virginia, until our clinic Bridge to Health opens in a few weeks. As I said in an earlier message it is near Fredericksburg, Va.

Guest guest
, Tell me what time of what day. I live 30 minutes north or Winchester, Va, so afternoons are best for me. But, I WANT an HBOT as soon as I can get into one. And my girlfriend too! And several friends! I'll send my friends to your place. I have been telling them about HBO for two year now. There are a lot of people with enough sense to understand what HBOT can do! I can't imagine a human dumb enough not to wish for their own HBOT chamber, much less give it a try! If you build it, I will be there! ;-)) JIM FAMANSON@... wrote: > > We will soon be opening an HBO clinic near Fredericksburg, Va, half way > between Washington D. C. and Richmond. Guest guest
Dear Jim, I am keeping your post up front as the first to know. Currently I'm seeking a temporary physician until my permanent choice can get here. I expect word every day Also the CHT is getting the oxygen ordered and the plumbing, which requires an oxygen plumbing specialist It may be that I'll bring a doctor down from ndale for a few weeks, but currently that is my delay A knowledgeable doctor is a requirement in my opinion. I know of some clinics being run by highly trained RN's, but I want an MD to check out each patient Delighted to hear you're getting em lined up. I think we can do 8 each day and if numbers hold up I will be getting in another monoplace so we can double that number. I'll keep you posted. Guest guest
Jim: i did not see this product on the RxforWellness.com site. perhaps i missed it... jd is this a single chemical secretagogue you speak of? or another combination product with everything from arginine to pituitary extracts and naturally occuring dopamine from velvet bean or macuna extracts? i have been waiting for a secretagogue i read about some time back with dozens of studies to back it up in europe.... it was a single chemical that is administered buccally i believe (perhaps inhaled through nose). jd Re: Nerve Regeneration , There is a doctor online with a very fine newsletter. Guest guest
jd, Dr. Maher sells Pro hGH, or hGH Pro, I can never remember. Anyway, he sells it for about $45 for a month's supply, whereas most vendors charge over $90 for the same thing. I was on his e-list for a long time and there were daily mails talking about it. The URL for it is http://www.rxforwellness.com/shoppingchannel/foundationalantiagingp_5.shtml If you buy 3 & get one free for $180, that's $45 a month. jim jdklein wrote: > > Jim: i did not see this product on the RxforWellness.com site. perhaps i missed it... > > jd > > is this a single chemical secretagogue you speak of? or another combination product with everything from arginine to pituitary extracts and naturally occuring dopamine from velvet bean or macuna extracts? > > i have been waiting for a secretagogue i read about some time back with dozens of studies to back it up in europe.... it was a single chemical that is administered buccally i believe (perhaps inhaled through nose). > > jd -- Rehab is for quitters! -- anony - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - jlambert@... http://www.entrance.to/madscience

LEDT (LED THERAPY) OR LLLT (LOW LEVEL > LASER THERAPY) IS THE BEST I'VE FOUND. .... EMAIL ME PERSONALLY > ABOUT THE LASER STUFF IF YOU LIKE. Hi, I'm interested in finding a LLLT device for both shrinking scar tissue, and regenerating the nerve in a Morton's neuroma (which is a chronically pinched nerve between the toes). My surgeon botched an excision (surgical removal) of a neuroma, leaving excessive scar tissue that is impinging upon the nerve which would normally grow back and reconnect after 1 - 2 years. Do you know what infrared wavelengths are most effective for nerve regeneration ? Also, do you perhaps know the wavelengths that are effective for shrinking scar tissue (up to 1/2 inch deep) ? And finally, do you know where I can obtain a LLLT device of sufficient power, at a reasonable price ? (An expensive LLLT device, available only to licensed veterinarians and official medical trials, is the 'MicroLight 830' (830 nanometers at 30 milliwatts, for over 1 inch of tissue penetration) -- a diode laser manufactured by Laser Medics, Inc. of Missouri City, Texas -- phone 1-800-982-8438. ) Thanks in advance for any ideas. Sincerely, Bill Kingsbury
Guest guest
It is apparent that you already have knowledge of lasers. I just healed a tooth that had a chronic infection for over a year with a nine volt battery, and 82 ohm resistor and an extra large 635 nm diode from radio shack. I am impressed with it. it takes a bit longer than a laser but is gentler and the body responds real well to it. 632 nm is the best for regeneration. 4 or 5 joules is about optimum for lasers. With the led I just use it twice a day for 5 minutes each time. It only costs about 8 bucks to make one. If the led is smaller (as in the 632 nm ones) use it longer. Twide a day for a week and then twice a week for a month should do it. There is a 632 nm with built n transistor I used that really spit out the high energy photons. I belong to the laser list and you could ask there about lasers. I use 5 mw mostly. Theres nothing for scar tissue except to sand it offf acouple of times anduse vitamin e and aloe. Acupuncture techniques help soften it up but really don't get rid of the look of the scar. Anyhhow thats what I did. Maybe if you try it then please let me know how it worked ok? The guy who told me about it in Australia would like to know this stuff. Thanks. Be shure to wrap the leads in plastic spagetti and duct tape it. Simple enough. Guest guest
Where is the laser list? Is it about medical uses for lasers? Where did you get the idea and plans for the LED you made? THANKS!! Also, could you describe the circuit used with the " 632 nm (led) with built-in transistor " ? And what is its part number ? > There's nothing for scar tissue except to sand it off a couple of > times and use vitamin e and aloe. Actually, I've seen several articles describing clinical results with softening and reducing both internal and surface scars, as well as keloids, using infrared laser diode (LLLT) devices. For example: " Miracle Healing With Photons " http://www.humanitarian.com/only-7.html I'll post this article separately. > Anyhow thats what I did.
