Guest guest
I've had a toxic metals test that shows high levels of mercury, I'm assuming from my mercury filings. Shouldn't I then be avoiding tuna? SAMMIE Bee <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: > > ¿Does not all Tuna have way too much mercury? Even the front page of my paper said Tuna is bad to eat! ==>Hi. You must be new. Welcome to our group. Some types of tuna are better than others, i.e. skipjack and albacore. Did you know that the fish's own body is designed to chelate out mercury just like our own bodies do? Sally Fallon writes about it at www.westonaprice.org. ==>I believe there are too many warnings about the dangers of good food. The warnings should be directed to processed foods and chemicals in our foods rather to something like tuna. Bee --------------------------------- Don't pick lemons. This diet with its high saturated fats chelates out heavy metals from your body, however if you already have high levels of mercury it is best to avoid tuna until you've been on the diet long enough. Guest guest
is there any tuna (canned or fresh) that does not contain mercury?
Guest guest
Hi, I saw this tuna at my local farmers market. They claim there is no detectable mercury in their catch. I'm sure it's none too cheap, especially if you can't find it locally in a store. http://www.tunatuna.com/about-us/low-mercury.php Sue > > is there any tuna (canned or fresh) that does not contain mercury? >
Guest guest
Every couple months my daughter wants tuna. I get her tuna. She inhales it for a week or so, then is done with it for awhile & it does seem to be good for her. She also does the same thing with sardines - I did find a coQ10 connection there, btw. " Regular " kroger type of stores are where we shop & at this point, more important to me, is that tuna not be packed with " broth, " which has soy flavoring and other such stuff. I have seen info on " better " choices, when it comes to fish or tuna - like whether dark or white is better, when it comes to hg and other tox issues. Maybe some hunting for more info online would help you with this. elizabeth > > Are any brands of Tuna safe??? > > Trish >
