Guest guest
Listmates We are doing DMSA 12.5 mg on w/ends every 4 hours (Fri 8 AM to Mon 12 PM). We saw improvements in all areas during first 3 rounds. After round 4 our son (5 yo) had 3 bladder accidents in one day - he tends to hold as long as possible when playing/watching TV and then can't make it to the bathroom - but he continued to improve. After round 5 I noticed that he was a bit slower than before the round - did not/could not answer questions, was very shy in front of strangers (not normally like him), speech was cogwheel like and he was quite tired. I believe we are to expect some regression as we chelate. Throughout biomed we have experienced some regression before further improvement. I just wanted to check. We are going to do another 3 rounds of DMSA only and then plan on adding ALA. How do you know if you are adding ALA too soon? He is about 54 pounds so should we continue with DMSA 12.5 mg and add 5 mg of ALA - every 3 hours/day and 4 hours/night? We want to start slowly and don't want to take any risks. Thank you so much for all the information you have provided us so far. It is such a beautiful thing to see our son develop and to renew our hopes of recovery. I know it is early days but we feel very much on the right path. Chris
