Guest guest
Hi, My son has a bad yeast problem - thrush in the mouth. About a month and a half ago, my son had sores in his mouth and complained that it hurt every time he ate. Finally I took a flash light and looked in his mouth... he had lesions and white film on his gums and on the inside of his cheeks. I took him to see the pediatrician and he confirmed it was thrush. After confirming this, I then called our BioMed doctor and asked him what we should do as well. He prescribed 1 month fluconozale 1/2 ml per day. We did this for 30 days, which improved with the lesions going away, but the thrush still present. After that, the doctor told us to discontinue with the fluconazole, but to do ketoconazole 100mg/day. This is the 4th day of doing ketoconazole and his thrush is started to come back - looking worse by the day. I also removed saccharomyces, which he takes 3 times a day. Does anyone know if that would do more damage? or help? Can anyone give me some advice? I've reduced his sugar intake by 95% and also cut the carbohydrate intake by 90%. No more juice and only water. please help with any advice. Thank you in advance.
