Guest guest
Hi, My son has been battling with a yeast problem, possibly mucositis, but not confirmed. We've been on the Nystatin for a year now and just about 2 months ago, he began to show lesions in his mouth and I saw that he developed a bad thrush. He has a diagnosis of PDD-NOS, but has made tremendous gains since we started the biomed. Anyway, he took fluconozale for 30 days, and now we're taking Ketoconazole because the fluconozale is not working as well. The fluconazole did improve with the lesions, but the thrush is still in his mouth. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this? Or had any input? He usually takes Saccharomyces 3 times a day, but I removed it 2 days ago. Since then, his thrush is getting worse. I'm so worried and don't know what to do. Please help. I've also reduced his carbohydrate intake significantly. He has only meat, fish, and at most 1 small fruit a day. Thanks in advance.
