Guest guest
hello. just reading past post and was wondering why you feel that this is a support group. its not a disability. its just different pigment. Guest guest
just the short version of my history. My family has history of bipolar disorder and autism primarily. along with a host of autoimmune disorders and other mood related disorders. I have a long list of labels that came out of it. including bipolar lupus poly cystic ovarian disease ect. my daughter (21mo) was born 5wks early due to me being preelcmaptic, as well as being potassium deficient. and copper toxic (i got postpartum depression while pregnant) she slept for pretty much her first 8-10 months of life. she currently has about a 6 month delay in all categories. by the time she was 10 mo old i came off meds for the mood disorders and went onto empower plus (by far one of the best things i have done) and she started to flourish at this time. off and on she would develop. not sure if it had anything to do with the vaccines though the timing didn't always correlate. soon after this i also started seeing a naturopath who told me i was heavy metal toxic i had parasites and viruses. but couldn't do anything about it due to breastfeeding. she is also 20-50% more expensive than other naturopaths in the area. and throws piles of stuff on you and takes it personally if you cant do all the things she suggests esp if you're taking other things not on her protocol. as well i know she is milk and soy sensitive, she had a dramatic reaction to the formula that i had to supplement her with, due to low milk from my hormonal problems. she also had tongue tie that the dr's didnt see until she was 3 mo old and didnt fix until she was 7 mo old 2 weeks after she forgot how to breast feed... (i pumped the whole time) and i kept pumping until she was 16 months old. used the nutramigin formula for a bit then switched her to Almond milk. i think she is sensitive to grains in general particularity wheat. like both of us. and she gets violent if she has too much sugar. when she was younger she had tactile aversion would stand on her tippy toes wouldnt look you in the eye and was indifferent to affection and toys. most of those since have lessened. and she now aggressive hands out affection at times lol she isnt walking yet but she isnt standing on her tippy toes any more she still has a bit of tactile defensiveness and likes her hands clean. and now plays with everything. we have her in physio and early intervention for her motor skills. we even had to teach her how to crawl. we are on the wait list for speech. she is doing her best to catch up to her peers. but i wonder if some of this catching up is due to not getting her last set of shots. it think she is two full sets behind in total. I never did agree with how much and how often they suggest those things. but i also understood there is some benefit to them too. I saw on the forum a mom who asked about a child who rarely gets sick. my child is nearly two and i can count how often she has had the flu... once... and colds it's harder to tell cus foods make her stuffy at times. still working on finding them all. i think true colds are about at three. and in her first year of life i don't think she got sick once. (other than formula related things and food constipating her) now im havineg the opposite problem she has runny stools nearly always. I found recently that i am intolerent to flax my whole lower digestive system swells up. it's not pretty. and i think she developed the same intolerance. ive been giveing her probiotics and digestive enzymes. i was wondering what brands you all use for your children if you do. i was looking into the childrens Enzymedica enzymes. but im still looking for a good probiotic for her as she no longer gets full benefit from the infant one. I was wondering how old children have to be to do chelation safely? also was wondering on average what the cost is for an average course of it for children and adults. Guest guest
> I was wondering how old children have to be to do chelation safely? Not very. You just have to be able to get the chelator down them every 3-4 hours with reasonable reliability. > also was wondering on average what the cost is for an average course of it for children and adults. A few hundred dollars all told if you do it properly and use cheap supps (more if you need DMSA or DMPS), many many thousands if you go the usual alternative doctor route or do the faddish and trendy stuff - after which you still have to chelate properly anyway if you want to get better. My family has history of bipolar disorder and autism primarily. along with a host of autoimmune disorders and other mood related disorders. I have a long list of labels that came out of it. including bipolar lupus poly cystic ovarian disease ect. *Sounds like DDI hair tests with counting rules applied would be beneficial for the whole family. my daughter (21mo) was born 5wks early due to me being preelcmaptic, as well as being potassium deficient. and copper toxic (i got postpartum depression while pregnant) she slept for pretty much her first 8-10 months of life. she currently has about a 6 month delay in all categories. by the time she was 10 mo old i came off meds for the mood disorders and went onto empower plus (by far one of the best things i have done) and she started to flourish at this time. off and on she would develop. not sure if it had anything to do with the vaccines though the timing didn't always correlate. soon after this i also started seeing a naturopath who told me i was heavy metal toxic i had parasites and viruses. but couldn't do anything about it due to breastfeeding. she is also 20-50% more expensive than other naturopaths in the area. and throws piles of stuff on you and takes it personally if you cant do all the things she suggests esp if you're taking other things not on her protocol. *How many mercury amalgam dental fillings do you have. You can't safely chelate until those are removed by someone who does it properly. as well i know she is milk and soy sensitive, she had a dramatic reaction to the formula that i had to supplement her with, due to low milk from my hormonal problems. she also had tongue tie that the dr's didnt see until she was 3 mo old and didnt fix until she was 7 mo old 2 weeks after she forgot how to breast feed... Consider introducing sign language. It can help with speech. There are lots of books, videos, etc for signing with little ones. Helps give them a pleasant way of communicating and reduces tantrums. Signing Time is on PBS. Our library network has sign language items geared toward young children. she is doing her best to catch up to her peers. but i wonder if some of this catching up is due to not getting her last set of shots. it think she is two full sets behind in total. I never did agree with how much and how often they suggest those things. but i also understood there is some benefit to them too. *Vaccines currently do more harm than good IMO. Since she has dairy concerns look for probiotics without diary. We (my husband and I) take American Health chewable probiotics. They come in banana, strawberry, and blueberry. Some WFM keep them in stock, others have to order them. I was wondering how old children have to be to do chelation safely? also was wondering on average what the cost is for an average course of it for children and adults. *For adults it often means having mercury amalgam dental fillings safely removed first. Guest guest
Hi thank you both for your replies. What is a DDI hair test. i've heard of hair mineral tests. is this just a specific one? as for fillings i have many working with a bio dentist currently to remove them. (i have a mouthful my teeth became brittle and prone to cavities and breaking due to my psyc meds) soon after i started that process i started group therapy and the trip to the dentist destabilizes me for a few weeks afterward so I put it on hold. as for vaccines ive read the propaganda on both sides of the argument. my opinion is both sides are over stated and I dont know where the truth lay. we are working on sign language but she didnt start understanding either words spoken or signed until recently. we did our bes tto keep it up but it's hard when you get stared at blankly or ignored all the time. We live in canada and dont have cable so I dont think we get PBS we still use it but she has a habit to use the same one over and over for everything as best i can tell " milk " means " i want " to her lol. I must also input i also had severe post postpartum depression and i know that also affected things. (i know it has to do with not excreting copper properly and excess copper can be passed to babe)and it should also be noted I became preeclamptic with her. and from my research it has again to do with mineral balances mostly copper/zn affecting the other more recognized minerals associated with preeclampsia like magnesium calcium and potassium. not only that but the connection was really lacking until recently, at times if i was without her I would have to remind myself I had a child. so i always did my best to not be without her. I still feel like i need to get approval for everything i do for her from her day home. (i know it's a weird thought but it's none the less part of my struggle) I am pretty sure the probiotics she is on now is dairy free. ibs runs int he family so I am not surprised she has any tummy issues at all. > > > just the short version of my history. > > My family has history of bipolar disorder and autism primarily. along with a host of autoimmune disorders and other mood related disorders. > > I have a long list of labels that came out of it. including bipolar lupus poly cystic ovarian disease ect. > > *Sounds like DDI hair tests with counting rules applied would be beneficial for the whole family. > > my daughter (21mo) was born 5wks early due to me being preelcmaptic, as well as being potassium deficient. and copper toxic (i got postpartum depression while pregnant) > > she slept for pretty much her first 8-10 months of life. she currently has about a 6 month delay in all categories. by the time she was 10 mo old i came off meds for the mood disorders and went onto empower plus (by far one of the best things i have done) and she started to flourish at this time. off and on she would develop. not sure if it had anything to do with the vaccines though the timing didn't always correlate. > > soon after this i also started seeing a naturopath who told me i was heavy metal toxic i had parasites and viruses. but couldn't do anything about it due to breastfeeding. she is also 20-50% more expensive than other naturopaths in the area. and throws piles of stuff on you and takes it personally if you cant do all the things she suggests esp if you're taking other things not on her protocol. > > *How many mercury amalgam dental fillings do you have. Guest guest
What mg were you using each time? Hi new here. Hello. My name is Katy. I'm 46 and been detoxing heavy mercury a few different ways this year. I used Iodoral for a few months and got fed up with the disgusting acne that developed on my back almost instantly when I started it. I stopped the Iodoral and the acne went away. So I experimented and started it again...again with the acne. I've read some old posts about acne and see it's a bromine detox symptom. So...how long do I use Iodoral and at what dose before the acne clears (and I'm assuming then, the bromine clears?) ?Where dose bromine toxicity come from? Thanks in advance, katy
